with regards to the waiting list - i think it's all relative - honda can be saying that there is a 1 month waiting list if they are only expecting limited units to be brought in. what i'm trying to say is demand is not solely representative of actual demand it is also directly related to the number of units that are being brought in. for examle my friend put a deposit on the new pajero but have been told that his unit will not be available til 3rd week of may or over a month since his deposit - but this waiting time is primarily due to the limited initial number of units that Mitsu brought in. Same is the case with the crv IMHO.

Based on driving experience though, i don't think that the rav4 and crv can match the driving dynamics and feature set of the new outlander

eto personally lang, no offense sana... The new CRV will be selling pancakes again ikanga dahil sa some major issues altho they are not really looking gud.

1.) cheapest SUV in the market with reputation (Honda)

2.) If you will chose Xtrail or CRV, kc mdyo same price range, nsa 1.15m(approx). Ang tao siyempre pipiliin ang CRV over Xtrail bcoz of the brand. ung mga santa fe, Outlander mdyo malayo na price e, 1.4m ++

3.) for me, its a NO CHOICE scenario, wala nang ibang mapili mga pilipino kaya ayan nalng bblhin nilang SUV

4.) Pasalamat Honda, overpricing presyo ng Rav4 kaya parang walang competition ang CRV, so kung Best SUV of the Year man yan, hindi rin fulfilling masyado kc there is no competition in the market.

Peace to all and have a nice day!

In a test comparison by Consumer Reports, the Rav4 (both V6 and 4 cyl) got better marks than the CRV (2.4li).

    Rav4 - 2.4 li. 4 cyl

Highs: Agility, fuel economy, rear-seat room, access, controls, crash test results.

Lows: Thigh support for some drivers

    Overall MPG: 23 (roughly 9.79 kms/li)

    CRV - 2.4 li. 4 cyl

Highs: Handling, rear seat, fit and finish, controls, smooth powertrain, interior flexibility, crash-test results.

    Lows: road noise

    Overall MPG: 21 (roughly 8.94 kms/li)

I still think the front grille of the new CR-V looks damn fugly (one of the worst Honda vehicles I've ever seen).

And correct din in-regards to road noise. Masyadong maingay kasi ang K24 na makina and it's fuel guzzling characteristics are worse than other 4-bangers of similar displacement (2AZ-FE ng Toyota, 4B12 ng Mitsubishi, VQ23DE NEO ng Nissan).

So your better off with the 2.0 4x2 variant which has the less fuglier version of the bucktooth grille (although you would really have to sacrifice the 4WD/AWD feature in-exchange for a newer engine)

i dont like rear of the crv. para sakin ang weird ng itsura pag sa likod mo tinitingnan. and i find the engine of crv weak kahit na pang city driving. u realy have to step on it for the car to go..

well i really love the outlander power n porma but ever since we are not happy with the aftersales and service of mitsubishi...

the local rav is nice but over price.

one lucky owner of this car

sporty look talaga ang rav4.. rare na 2nd hand na rav4 kahit 1998 to 2006 pa.. ang crv's surplus and 2nd ang dami dito sa cebu.
wlang binat bat ang crv kahit gen1 and so on.. mas ok pa kia sportage or sorento. dont know if pantay cla.

Yup lalo na yung "eyelid" stlye nyang headlamps ngayon. Gwapong gwapo and ok na medyo humaba, nagmukhang macho lalo. Parang big bro ng Fort although mas malaki ung Fort (ung tipong nambabatok na kuya pero mas maliit sayo and pag may away ka sya din ang umuupak).

since wala ang outlander sa choices - it's the rav4 for me!

the new cr-v (even with the 'mugen' look from the other thread) doesnt give me the craving...

rav4 is more macho machine compared to crv "mommy driven"suv. however, the interior of crv is better than rav4.
