true, exterior design goes to rav4 but the new crv doesnt look so bad at all. in fact its got a good design. well, not everyone may agree but its probably a love it or hate. still, id prefer the crv. cheaper na. still good looking. and ok pa interior. sa rav 4 kasi parang yung labas lang binayaran ko. when you get inside it doesnt feel as luxurious as it looks from the outside. kaya parang di ako kuntento. hehe...ayoko lang ung mga bumper..dunno parang pagong or sumthing...hehe

Well after 3 years, the verdict is out. CRV outsold the RAV4 by a huge margin. Despite being an ugly duckling, the CRV tops in comfort and practicality.

Correction: The CR-V is cheaper, so it sells better.

    1. Our CR-V has no AC issues... and I haven't heard of widespread issues in CR-Vs that haven't been flooded.

    2. Comfort... the RAV4 is much better... the CR-V is stiff. This coming from a guy who drives a third-gen on a weekly basis and who's driven a current RAV4.

    3. This thread is three years old.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

even though for me the CRV is such a boring car, i'll choose it over the RAV4 any day. and yes this thread is 3 years old, a little late on the party i guess.

    CR-V parin

Between the two, I'd take the CRV due to the superior transmission and the VTEC engine. But there, are more choices now, so a Tucson or Santa Fe is now the better choice.

Nagkaka problems like engine shutdown, knocking..

I like the rav4's exterior design than the CR-V but i prefer the CR-V's interior..
    Overall i'd pick the rav4.

Just for reference, in Car and Driver magazine comparative tests, the RAV4 beats the CRV in both tests,

    Some random thoughts...

In terms of interior ergonomics and seating comfort, its the CRV. I'm not a big fan of its foot activated parking brakes.

The RAV4 does not have a comfortable back passenger seats. The passenger sits closer to the floor, almost as if the seats are made for midgets. But the fold flat passenger seats make for much more cargo room than the CRV's tumble only seats. Ridiculous spare tire mounted on the hatch door.
