CX5 vs Fortuner

Halos same ang ground clearance pero I assume hindi parehas ang wading depth since mas mababa yung CX5 kaysa sa Fortuner.

Of course. The Fortuner is rated for up to 700mm of wading. But it's not like you'd be fording floods every day.

For the usual metro flash flood, even a crossover would suffice.
