September 22nd, 2011 07:40 PM #11Hay, only in the Philippines talaga.

September 23rd, 2011 12:35 PM #15Tribeca is the same size as CX9 but it's only a 5 seater so it's not worth it. In this price segment, your choices are CX9, Prado Gas and Murano, but Murano is also a 5 seater.
It's a hard choice actually. Maybe you can bring your family to look at the vehicles and hear their opinion.

Murano drives okay, great transmission... But it's only five seats and the interior isn't as good as the CX9. For the price, you'd hope at least they'd give you a telescoping steering wheel, but no such luck.
Pajero drives nice, and the V6 is zingy, but it is kind of boomy and stiff over bumps for my tastes.
Don't discount the Explorer yet. Just saw it... Looks pretty darn sporty, and if it's true to Ford's recent form, it should drive as well as the CX9 while riding much better than anything else in the class.

September 23rd, 2011 01:06 PM #18Yup the Explorer looks promising given that it's also a 7 seater. The Ecoboost engine review at caranddriver.com says it's underpowered relative to the weight of Explorer. But since it's always traffic here, maybe the Ecoboost is better suited here haha. But it will also be more expensive than the V6.
Let's just wait for the price announcement.
