May 27th, 2012 07:18 PM #2FORD --- totoo po bang mahirap daw humanap ng parts??
HONDA -- ok na ok, but in our observation parang madamot sila sa technology...unlike FORD na lahat ng variants ng FIESTA, all power, lahat may indicator lamp sa side mirror +other perks..at sa HONDA no CASH discounts sa bank approval.

So it's now down to Fiesta sedan 1.4L vs. Honda City 1.3S
Personally, I never liked the looks of the Fiesta sedan. But its a debatable thing.
Haven't tried the Honda City 1.3S, but I already have tried the Honda City 1.5E. City driving with moderate traffic and frequent "hataw" gave me a 10km/L. But that's night driving. On afternoon rush hours, it MIGHT give me 9km/L which is completely understandable.
For the 1.3S it might give you roughly the same fuel consumption of 10-11km/L on the City then about 15-16km/L on the highway. Still depends on your driving habits, though.

It's normal for Honda not to give discounts. It's normal for them to slap a ridiculous price on their units high as well. Was very close in getting the same unit (City 1.3S MT) but found it unpractical for the price. Add a little more and I can already get an Altis 1.6E which has a much bigger space and commendable FC.Last edited by renzo_d10; May 27th, 2012 at 07:26 PM.

Looks wise, it's ok.
Maintenance wise, as long as you know where to get your parts no problem.
Fuel efficiency wise, no idea.
BTW, hindi mura mag-maintain ng Honda ah. If you think it's as cheap as maintaining a Vios, nope. Mahal. Taga ka talaga sa CASA ng Honda. Although every 10k kms lang naman kasi, unlike others 5k kms.

May 27th, 2012 07:55 PM #6Hinde fuel efficient ang ford fiesta a/t sa stop and go traffic. Sa highway, ok na ok. Its because of the gearing, kada andar mo from a stop, 3k rpm agad. Ü. In return though, mabilis acceleration mo.

May 27th, 2012 08:44 PM #8Mga sir we would to consider din ang vios na 1.3J and 1.3e na m/t
since sabi naman ni sir renzo, commendable ang FC at bigger space pa.

1.6E po na Altis yung sinabi kong bigger space. 809k lang siya, without discounts. It can go below 800k po after discounts.
Although sa case ko, I'll be placing my reservation na for a 1.3E MT Vios next week. I'm not after space na naman since extra car ko nalang ito. My two others eh matakaw na sa gas. Hehehe.
And it's because I got a very good deal from my SA.

Kung walang spare tire, invest on a Inflator kaysa sa sealant. Inflate the flat tire +10 psi than...
