good day. if you were to chose between the newly introduced impreza wrx and a modulo-ized 2.0, which one would it be? motor-image phils sells the wrx at 1.7++m while the 2.0 s-l nama is at 1.112m w/o the accessories pa so pag nilagay yung modulo kit mga around 1.3++m rin aabutin. please share your inputs. thanks.

of course it would still be the wrx ! the modulo civic is just a civic trying to look fast while the wrx is already a fast car itself plus a few thousands of upgrades it can be a monster while the civic would jsut be any other civic na kahit anong gawin mo. plus cmon ... 150+ against 220+ hp??

....i would definitely go for the WRX. pero better test drive it. sabi nila medyo stiff daw ride nito (maybe this only applies to the STi variant).

no contest, WRX ka na. and i believe stiffer yung ride ng STi, but hey, bearable compared to the evo. :D

    On paper, its the WRX.

I just don't know how long term maintenance and service will be like. The Civic is a regular-joe front wheel drive car with tremendous third party product support (read: non-casa OEM and replacement parts) so expect long-term maintenance to be less painful than the WRX's.

But if you are engaging in the horsepower wars, it's the WRX.

If you wont get the 2.4M STI forget the WRX. Resale value of the WRX ? Meron naman 2dr Civic Si na 197hp 6sp manual stock sa mga importers if you don't like the 4 dr version.

WRX! aside from the power, it's also rare. Pag nag-civic ka you're just another face in the crowd. hehe.

a question for you...saan at papano mo ba yan gagamitin?

kung parts and maintenance --> Civic (daming parts at mas mura)
kung mahilig ka sa mga kits, like wings, spoilers, etc...to make your car looks like the space shuttle..--> Civic (dami kong nakikitang ganyan hehehe)

    dami pa....hehehehe...

pero for me....WRX to be my weekend fun car.... (I wish... )

kung pamporma lang ang balak mo --> subjective yan sa tumitingin....BMW is a safe bet kung looks ang pag-uusapan besides it has a performance in it to go with that looks.

Depends on what your needs and priorities are. The Civic will be more adviseable on the day-to-day grind while the WRX is really a weekend toy.

Kung day-to-day driving i'd recommend you get a Crossover SUV instead. Santa Fe 2.2L CRDi with Variable Turbo is cheap, runs with cheap fuel and is VERY fast.

Impreza WRX or Civic 2.0 S-L
