    Hi Guys,

    Need your input on the bigbody vs 'lovelife'.. which is better in fuel economy, maintenance cost and overall value, taxi drivers tend to say the bigbody is 'mas matibay' daw.... i am looking at both XE 1.3 variants (97 bigbody vs 98 lovelife)..

    big body corolla is spacious than the love life corolla. If you are looking for power amenities (power windows and door locks) meron sa later version ng love life corolla XE. I think it even has a driver airbag.

    Think of it this way, the two shares the same engine, tranny, chassis basically shell and interior lang nagkakaiba hehe.

    yung after ng big body corolla, yung ae111. mas maliit. lumabas siya nung 1997 till early 2001.

    get the newer model.
    Though the big body isn't bad, mas decente lang tignan pag newer model.

    pero big body is a classic.

    ae92 = small body
    ae101 = big body
    ae111 = "love life" tawag nila kasi yun yata slogan sa mga commercials nito noon.
    zze120 = curent corolla altis

    pero sa 3 corollas na yan, favorite ko yung ae92 (yeh love your own, joke!). I mean, love ko performance and design. May GLi ae111 kami pero nababagalan ako hahaha.

    I prefer bigbody over love life. For some reason, the bigbody looks newer. Ewan nga kung bakit nagmukhang mas luma yung love life eh. I think this car was made just so they can replace the bigbody. Halos lahat ng engine at chassis components pareho. It's just like putting a new bodyshell on the same frame.

    Performance wise, some say the bigbody is a bit better, probably because of lighter weight considering the engine is the same. As for space, the love life's back seats are too cramped. They say it's because the front seats are too thick. But ironically, the love life is bigger than the bigbody in terms of exterior dimensions.

    Personally, I had the budget to get the 111 two years ago, but I decided to go for the 101 because I like its design better.

    yun yung tagline ng AE111, may theme song pa nga yun eh "I love you always and forever". kalimutan ko kung sino kumanta.

    pero sabi nila ang ae111 daw yung may pinakaboring na design ng corolla. Eto yung corolla na tinalo ng EK Civic interms of sales though this corolla came with twin airbags, abs and 1.8.
