Experienced that same dilemma 2 years ago for my grandparents. we opt for a 2005 Toyota Camry 3.0V because of its riding comfort and large trunk (for wheel chair) for their usual trip to St. Luke's and UST Hospital. we sold it 1 year after due to its FC but we replaced it with a 10th gen Corolla Altis.

Yup, the level of isolation and ride comfort of Camry is a steal for its price. I mean, what car could possibly topple that? A Lexus, BMW or Mercedes? And how much is the price difference?

Not to mention that those 3 liter V6 engines are freakishly fast. Smoking those Euro sedans would be a trifle. But then that is if you can live with the horrid 5km/L thereabouts fuel consumption. The 2.4L would give you 6km/L thereabouts fuel consumption. Only slight difference in fuel consumption, big drop in performance (though it is still fast). Kung si lola lang naman ang sasakay, OK na ang 2.0L Camry.

Another 2nd hand option would be the Mitsubishi Grandis. Its basically a Galant on stilts. Same chassis, same transmission, same engine. They can be had for very good deals in the 2nd hand market. Resale is similar to a midsize sedan of the same year.

the honda odyssey of old would have been perfect. my mominlo loved it. unfortunately, 'twas wrong timing back in the late 90s. but i hear it's coming back (?), to do battle with the previa, alphard, grandis, etc..
also, a stretch MB would be nice...
ang gusto nila, yung i-kekembot na lang yung balakang, at ibababa na lang sa upuan. ayaw nila ng aakyat pa ang paa o binti..
i notice, some cars require some amount of back-bending so as to avoid hitting the head on the sill. a few cars were designed well enough as to minimize this bending. mebbe that's what senior citizens need..

Montero Sport rides better than Fortuner.

Fortuner suspension can be modified using aftermarket mods but that just means you'll be spending more money on a brand new vehicle.

Why does "lola" want a seven seater? Does she always travel with her whole entourage?

For me it's merely a fluke, an isolated error that doesn't discount the overall build quality of the MS as a whole.

    No, not the Venture.

Either a GS Limo, a Mitsubishi Grandis or a Camry.. kahit 2.4V pwede na. Or if they're tired of Camrys, there's the Galant & Teana waiting.

    ano ang options mo bro?
generally, bigger luxury cars like the accord, the camry, the cefiro have really comfortable rides.
