i've rented one a couple of times, as well as its cousin, the Dodge Magnum.

power with the Hemi V8 is a bit scary, and will threaten to overwhelm traction every time you prod the go pedal aggressively.

i'm not very impressed with the handling, it's still too floaty and body roll is still too much for my taste in stock form. of course, my point of comparison is a BMW, so that might not be a fair opinion...if you're coming from an American car or an SUV you might not see any problems with it.

it's super-roomy and very comfortable inside, although the interior is more middle-of-the-road than upscale (nothing wrong with that considering the price), and for some reason the leather on the seats is super slippery in the one leather-equipped unit i drove.

the car also gets the reputation among some as a wanna-be Bentley (kind of deserved imo considering how much of a rip-off the styling is), but if you don't care about that...then have fun!

To clear things up, the LX platform used by the 300C/Magnum/Charger is not really based on the previous gen E-class.
Development of the RWD LX platform began before the Daimler Mercedes - Chrysler merger. The platform was later re-engineered to accept Mercedes based components like the suspension, steering system, traction control etc.

    300C SRT costs around P3.9M-P4M

I think the stock 20 inch size of the SRT-8 wheels should be enough.

300C with a mesh grill, lip spoiler and larger wheels.

The larger RWD/AWD LX platfrom was designed to accomodate W210 E-class based components. Its a common misconception that the 300C shares the same platform with the W210 E-class.

    AFAIK there are 3 variants.

    The base model (3.5 V6) = Php 2,650,000 - 250 HP

    The Hemi (5.7 V8) = Php 3,250,000 - 340 HP

The SRT-8 (You have to pre-order this, I don't know the price) - 425 HP

If you have the money, go for the Hemi or the SRT-8! Just slap on some 22's and a decent grill, you're all set.

So they don't sell the regular base model with the 2.7L V6 in the Philippines?
    The US gets a 2.7LV6 189hp/191lbft as base engine, 3.5LV6 250hp/250lbft, 5.7LV8 345hp/375lbft, and the SRT8 with the 6.1LV8 with 425hp/420lbft.

Hmmm. I thought the base engine was the 3.5L V6 (we have plenty of those 300's running around town). If there's a 2.7L V6, it's suspiciously similar in spec to the Tibbie engine. Does Hyundai and Chrysler still collaborate on engines?
