AFAIK they still work together but I doubt it's the same motor.

I just checked and the 2.7 is a lower displacement version of the 3.5 V6 and it is scheduled to be replaced by 2012 with phase out starting on 2010. The new V6 engine is called Phoenix and will be the first Chrysler engine to utilize Mercedes technology in it's development since the merger. However, certain patented technology will still only remain Mercedes.

I checked out the Chrysler 300C SRT on display at the recently held "2007 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS)". According to the vehicle's door stamp, it is supposedly manufactured in Austria.
