The Everest is more practical, more utilitarian and more powerful... but the Captiva is much more comfortable.

I'll go for the Everest.
Sa looks and ride quality lang ata lamang ang Captiva.
Consider access to dealership during the warranty period. Hindi kasi ganun ka dami maski sa Metro Manila but more so sa provinces. Just imagine going to great lengths just to have your car serviced. Also somebody here in the forum complained of the relatively high costing of Chevrolet CASA compare to dealers of other brands.
Captiva...will captivate you pagbago... but will hold you captive sa maintenance. And it may not be that warm in the second hand market. Kaya palugi kon ibenta....
for this particular segment (4x2 7-seater mid-size diesel SUV) ....I think Everest lords it over in terms of sales. More units sold results in increase availability of third party options sa parts making cost less exorbitant.

The Captiva wins in ride quality and looks, yes. The Everest' 4x2 has a so-so ride.
In this market, you might also want to consider the alternatives. The Sorento's ride is way too soft for me, but the engine is the tried-and-proven CRDi unit that Hyundai-Kia developed from Mitsubishi. It also has an optional third row, but that third row is terribly tiny. The Tucson and the Sportage have a lot of space for five-seaters and come in diesel 4x4, also. No third row option, though.
There's also the Fortuner (though the 2.5 diesel is very sluggish), the Santa Fe (probably outside your price range, but it's best in class, with the best third row at this price), the Kyron (also expensive in 4x4, but veeeeery luxurious) and the Alterra (old, old design, but fully-loaded).
If you don't mind sticking to five-seaters, you can also consider pickups like the Hilux and Ranger (IMHO, superior to their seven-seater brothers the Eve and Fort), the Strada (most car-like truck at this price... very comfy) and the Navarra (advanced engine) or D-Max.
And if seating space is all you want... andami... Carens, Innova, Carnival (honestly, it's huuuuuuge inside) etcetera. ;)
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
3M Color Stable series are all above 50% TSER. RFID readable through the tint, stays good for...
What's the best car tint brand and color?
