If you are to compare it with the barebones (Vios J or E, Sentra GX, City A), then the Accent is certainly more expensive in terms of purchase price.

AFAIK, diesel engines require more oil during PMS (vs. a gas engine) so you also need to take that into consideration.

he he he hardly anybody voted for the Sentra. Technically, it should be the easiest to maintain due to the age of its design and its abundant availability way before the arrival of the contenders it is being pitted against.

As for the Vios, Toyota, from time to time, silently increased its price. By the last count, Toyota has raised the price of the Vios by Php 15,000.00 cumulatively, since its introduction last Aug 2007. This is all happening without adding a single new feature or equipment.

P.S. Did you know if you want to stencil the engine of an Accent, engine cover + a host of other parts need to be removed first before it can be reached.

Buti nga P15K lang ang increase ng Vios since 2007. Eh yung Jazz dati less than P800K yung late 2008 ngayon nasa P822 na. Halos P30K increase in a year and no improvements whatsoever. Same story with the City pero less...
