Did you consider a 2nd hand car? If you're very knowledgeable sa cars I think may makukuha kang 2nd hand SUV (7 seater) na 4x2 worth around P1M. Just a thought. But of course PMS maybe higher.

i have hilux 2.5 manual. my dad has carens 2.0 automatic
ive driven both.

parehong masarap sila i maneho. minsan prefer ko hilux, minsan naman un carens.

ang masarap sa carens. automatic. lakas humatak. although minsan pag uphill, nawawala un hatak. humihina. but now lately ok nanaman sya. good seats. spacious. i like how wide the doors open for the carens. almost 90 degrees na.

ang masarap sa hilux. same engine to as the innova. 2.5 d4d. mine is manual. so i get quick response naman when i wanted to go faster. pero since lower HP to than the carens (140hp), i only get fast accelaration til 80kph. beyond that, mas mabagal na. unlike sa carens. pag naka 80kph na ko, ang lakas pa humatak.

so ano pipiliin mo?
kung ako lang masusunod. go for toyota innova. why? unang una, less worries.

d4d ngayon is much more stable. wala na un troublesome na fuel pump issues.

althought when i got mine, issues was still there. i just thought i'd risk having a lemon toyota than from another lemon car company.

chambahan lang ang lemon cars.
nakaka pagod at nakaka stress magka problema sa claiming ng warranty.

(i had an isuzu xwind before. sakit sa ulo, daming sira w/in first 3 yrs of warranty period. pa balik balik sa casa.) hilux ko since 06 walang problema. almost 70K kms na ako.



ung carens naman kasi. ang ganda naman talaga. taas ng Horse power, sarap ng seats. ride height tama lang. not high like big suvs, not low like sedans.

pero gaya un nangyari sa amin, void na ang warranty namin sa engine. why? kasi hindi ako nag papa change oil sa kanila. (ang mahal kasi ng langis and service nila).

so when a few weeks back, akala namin busted na ung turbo ng carens namin (sabi kasi ng wheels erod turbo daw), sumasakit na ang ulo ko. medyo na ba bad trip pa ako kasi ba naman hindi na daw covered ng warranty. buti nalang hindi pala turbo ang sira. isang bearing daw kaya nakapa ingay sa loob ng engine bay.

(grabe garapal sila sa PMS nila, one time ang hina ng buga ng aircon, pumunta ako sa wheels erod, nireklamo ko sa service advisor, andon kami sa loob ng office nya. sabi nya, dapat linis aircon na daw, palit filter, eto presyo.. etc etc etc... in short. sales talk agad. sabi ko sa kanya, hindi mo pa nga tinitignan, alam mo na ang gagawin. walk out ako doon. pumunta ako ng banawe. bumili ako ng replacement air filter para sa aircon. 700 pesos lang. ayun, malakas na ulit un buga ng hangin.)

Carens or Innova? I'd say go for Honda Jazz! Haha! Pero seriously, test drive them both with your family, sir. When looking for a family car, best kung kasama mo buong family mo and listen to their comments. Its your family you'll be riding with and not us, right?
