Jazz and CR-V sales probably went down as the Jazz MMC was just introduced and new CR-V should
    be coming soon.

Citing the combined reports of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (Campi) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA), the country’s automotive industry experienced brisk sales after selling a total of 196,164 units from January to June, 28,684 units more than what were sold on the same period last year.

Interestingly, this first semestral sales mark even eclipsed the total vehicles sold by Campi and TMA for the whole year of 2013 (181,283 units).

    probably, no effect.
the figures were generated prior to the "phaseout announcement"... right?
the next quarter's figures will probably be interesting.

Nissan-Renault group takes 2017 global sales lead over VW group and Toyota group. Buying Mitsu was a big boost for the Nissan-Renault group.

Good move by Ghosn as Mitsu excels in markets Nissan/Renault don't and vice versa.

None of that "Gotta have it factor" compared to something like the Swift (same engine size, same price range, bigger car).

Crossovers are killing high end hatchbacks.

Notice that Toyota's Yaris is not on the list.

The Fiesta, both hatch and sedan, doesn't sell as well as the Jazz.

It's all down to what people want. They go into the dealership wanting a small hatchback. They drive out in a new HR-V or BR-V. City buyers are different. They really, really, really want a sedan.

This is also why Fiesta sales are in the toilet. Go into the dealer to look at the Fiesta. See the EcoSport is just a tiny bit more expensive, drive out in an EcoSport.

Vios starts all the way down at the J model. 649k.

    Base City is already 764k.

Vios sells because it is cheaper. Only competitor that sells at a similar price is the Almera, at 630k for the 1.2. And the Almera sells well, too. Especially considering Nissan's relatively small footprint in the market.

How's Toyota's CVT? Is it comparable to Honda in terms of Fuel Efficiency?

Have not eco-tested the new Vios. Driven it... found the CVT response a bit dull compared to Honda, and the car felt heavy... but I can't make any economy observations unless/until I get it for an extended period of time.

    .

As expected the Mighty Toyota Hilux has clawed its way back to numero uno in Australia and South Africa.

Ford Asia has yet to introduce the heavily updated versions of the Everest and Rangers.

Toyota Hilux overtakes Ford Ranger on the monthly 4x4 sales charts | 4X4 Australia

Ang nagdala sa civic yung harap....... yung likod mukha naluma agad at maraming "kulot".... at tinipid talaga tailight.....

Sa city ito talaga ginastusan pag design ng likod. Kita mo yung kurbada swabeng-swabe.

While you repeat your opinion on the Civic's rear over and over on different threads, the facts are:

    - The Civic is currently the best-selling compact sedan, despite not having low-end variants to compete with the entire Altis range.

    - The City is a very far second to the Vios in the subcompact segment.

So perhaps among compact sedan buyers, not many people share your opinion. 😊
