There must have been a changing of the guards at Honda or their design philosophy has changed.
I remember years ago when one of their highest officers was stating in his interview that they give the most attention to their rear design because that particular part is seen almost all of the times.
Honda Civic rear is too cluttered ... Mazda 3 hatch has a cleaner look ...
Mitsu should beat the market na with position pricing, for instance the GLS is so stripped down, why not just beat the MUX 2.5 pricing at 1.33M
if Mitsu offers GLS AT at 1.2M net and GLX MT 1.1M, sigurado tatalunin nya buong PPV 2017 market fugly rear or not. remember they still have the most reliable engine around
with that pricing, Mitsu will also affect the sales of the Innova and the would-be buyers of the BRV, kase 200K na lang naka-diesel at higher ground clearance na.
let's face it, the PPV circa 2016 novelty has worn down. familiar na satin lahat ang latest Fortuner, Montero, MUX and Everest. facelift won't cut it coz look at what happened to trailblazer, the facelift is so sad in terms of sales
c'mon Mitsu do your thing now. and then silently produce the Ecosport counterpart at less than 1M,, that's one market Mitsu should concnetrate on if they want to grab the future.

In 2014, 16744 montero sports were sold. In 2013 i think there was a month where they sold over 1500.
2015 sales reports are skewed. 11k were sold in 9 months(jan-sep 2015). Its probably around 14k if pro-graded (is that even a term) toyota sold 14.5k (jan-sept2015)
2016 10768 sold - im betting the old gen monteros weren't included in this figure. I still think mitsubishi still sold more than the eve and the mux. I wish mitsu would help themselves here by correcting the figures.
The 7% sales drop is incorrect from myk. I think its double figures. My guess is more than 20% sales drop compared to last year.
Now its 2017-their doom year. they will really suck even more. No more old gen monteros to add 3-5k units to their annual tally. If our suggestions do happen, they might have a chance on cracking 15k units again.
