Given that the Accent 1.6 GLS Blue is 828k, and diesels are usually ~100k more expensive than gas engines, I'm expecting the price for the diesel hatch to be over 900k.
This then gives you the option to either buy an Elantra with a more powerful but less torquey and definitely less fuel efficient engine coupled with a bigger body and more features, or an Accent with a spankin' hot diesel engine. At the end of the day, it's still an Accent, but that's not necessarily bad. Class leading interior space (referring to subcompacts), elegant interior, catchy looks.
Realistically speaking, if they wanna keep it under 900k, the only features that they can take out from the GLS Blue variant are the leather steering wheel, the automatic climate control, and Bluetooth connectivity.
It'll be a bummer if they also take out the fog lamps and an airbag.
What I could say is you could not really tell the good and the bad until you own one. I used to own a Civic FD and an Elantra now. What I can say is both are solid cars. But both are expensive to maintain. :P
For this comparo, my vote goes to Accent in Diesel. Otherwise Jazz.
OT...
Ok lang ba ang Honda Jazz sa 6"0 ang height na driver and passengers?
I agree, design ng SEDAN ng hyundai parang madaling maluma accent sonata elantra... Pero suv nila oks na oks.. TS ayaw mo fiesta, kung d mo priority space, Fiesta S makakamura kapa and for sure iiwan mo lahat ng compact from stop light ..![]()
Ts if i were you Suzuki Jimny nalang kunin mo. Matipid naman din to sa gas at mura pa maintenance, mataas din ang ground clearance kaya pwede pang lusong sa baha, at higit sa lahat Hindi ginagawang TAXI.
