Mga Bros given a choice same price at let's say same year and condition.

Will u buy a 3.5 or a 2.4v? Will be used as an everyday car. Makati paranaque lang.

    Malaki difference ng fuel consumption?

    Thanks

I guess when dealing with midsize cars, fuel consumption is not much of a concern anymore. Maybe you're considering 1 km/L difference between the 4-banger against the V6 but the V6 will offer better performance.

I'd go with the TOTL 3.5Q model. There is no replacement for displacement.

Go 3.5Q already. FC of the 3.5Q will be more in traffic but it won't be a bank breaker or night and day difference if you're comparing it to the 2.4 IMO.

    POWERRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

But it should be similar, if its the previous camry, the V6 has a 6SP to the I4's 5SP tranny. That should improve economy a bit.
The other issue is parts, but there are many V6 camry's anyway

I have a camry 2.0 eating about 6.8 kms per liter 4 speed auto. Had an accord 2.4 eating 5.7 kms per liter 5 speed auto. So is it safe to assume same lang kain ng 2.4 accord to the 2.4 Camry?

If so the 3.5 will eat 4.7? Parang expedition?

    Basically, yes.

A 2.4 Camry is close in terms of economy to a 2.0... around 6-7 km/l in traffic.

The 3.5 is between 4-6 km/l... better than an Expedition naman (around 3-4).

1-2 km/l means little... on the highway.

In the city, a 1-2 km/l difference is 20-40% more gas. Prepare to spend a lot more per trip.

There's a reason why, secondhand, the prices of the 2.4 and 3.5 are very close, even if the 3.5 was hundreds of thousands more when they were new.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

On a route that bad, you would be seeing 3's from the 3.5.

What was your average speed, then? 5 km/h?

My standard route is from Dilliman-Q. Ave-Espana-Sta. Cruz. My Fort 3.0 does 6.8 km/l. Also my Montero Sport GLS does 7.8 km/l on the same route... Got rid of the Camry after 3 years.

How about an 8th gen Accord (2008-2013) 3.5L V6? It has VCM technology that shuts off 3 of its cylinders on low rpms. So, it's like running on 3 cylinders in slow crawling traffic and firing up 6 cylinders on the highway. The 8th gen Accord is more like the Camry than the previous generations. It has grown bigger in dimensions (interior/exterior) compared to the 7th gen but still kept its sporty handling with its double-wishbone front/rear suspension.
