I think only the tuning was updated but it's the same dry-clutch DCT (good for up to 250Nm).

Hindi pala problematic, sanayan lang talaga ng gamit as what like bro dreamur said.

Driving habit plays a role na rin. Sa FB groups about ecosport, most of the members are first time car owners or new drivers. Some of the questions are too basic you will have a whiplash from too much head shaking.

Hyundai Accent CRDi. Nothing beats a good turbo diesel.

If I have around 1M right now, I guess it would be a choice between the base Jetta 2.0L TDI or Civic 1.8L NA. The Jetta 2.0L TDI would be the quicker vehicle but the Civic has its solid local customer base.

Hi all! Big thanks for all your thoughts. Now I'm close to ditching the ecosport deal considering all your inputs. haha!

I'm now seriously considering Grand Vitara 2.4L, also the Nissan Juke 1.6 and the Hyundai Accent Hatch 1.6L CRDI GL A/T. At least medyo na-narrow down into three ang options ko.

I'm now close to buying Accent considering its high torque for a hatch (and read good reviews about it), and ofcouse, way cheaper. haha But my only concern is that Hyundai cars are Korea manufactured. Okay ba ang Korean cars compared to Jap cars? Coz if not, I might consider the Vitara or Juke.

Go for the Grand Vitara if cost is within budget.....you will never go wrong with it....the 4AT and the engine are tried and tested. Vitara has been in the local market for quite sometime and the practice of Suzuki of not changing its parts and specs as often will guarantee you availability of parts. Vitara also has the advantage of ride height, robust engine and more space vs your other options. My 2 cents. Good luck sir!

I am not sure if the Escape is still being sold locally. Ford sold the 1.6L Ecoboost for a bargain last year of just 1.05M (450k discount) just to clear the inventory. I think you can still get the 2.0L Ecoboost model but it costs around 1.8M.
