Anyway, here is the reply from Haima Cars Pampanga:

    Good afternoon.

If I may. Since Haima Cars Corp and Haima Autoworld Phils., maybe considered as one due to we are under one company which is the Laus Auto Group.

The concerned referred to Baguio Midland Courier is an isolated case e-mailed by a customer. I think the media is not the proper forum to solve the problem of the customer vehicle.

Please note of the immediate assistance provided by our after – sales team as soon as the problem was reported to our Baguio affiliate. For this particular unit, we immediately undertook the replacement of the transmission at no cost to the client. Full benefit of the warranty coverage for major auto parts was put to immediate effect.

The Laus group has been a key player in the Philippine automotive industry for more than 30 years now and has founded its name on good customer service. Our after sales program is designed to ensure clients that we will provide needed immediate support whenever needed.

We do hope that this does not hinder your decision to purchase our Haima 7 GL Comfort Manual Transmission since the concerned referred to was just an isolated case.

As I myself is very much confident with our Haima Products because of its practicality, performance and value for money attributes.

And personally, I am very satisfied because I drive one.

    Thank you and warm regards.

personally, i see nothing wrong with the pride. as long as it is taken care of reasonably well, its reliability has been proven. interior space-wise, it certainly beats many of the more recent models out there. and most decent fellows do not really care what you drive.. as long as they fit and they do not end up pushing.. heh heh. (i rub elbows with people who can buy a new car every year if they wanted to.. i assure you, we don't care what the other guy drives.. we don't look down on cars that aren't as shiny as ours..)
bottomline... if you are not sure, don't! stay put! your car isn't going to explode soon... and that car you are lusting for won't disappear in the near future. take your time! you're the guy with the money! let the salesmen wait! One good thing about waiting.. a better product usually comes around..
... btw... are there joneses there that you are trying to keep up with? forget them! they're not paying your bills.

    about casas and cars..
product quality and service maintenance go hand in hand.
if the product is bad, no amount of service will mask that for long..
and even the best-built car will eventually need maintenance and repair.. even hockey pucks break down sooner or later.. you need good service and maintenance providers..

why don't you just say hello to your pride in the garage.

    So? whats the verdict.

BTW .. agree ako sa reply above ..^^^ adding to that, by not buying a brand new car, you're much more liquid.

by the way... my cheap nissan sentra ex has been with me for 14 years now.. owning an old car isn't fatal.
and, being an accountant, i am sure you know just how much a million bucks in the bank can earn..
akunga.. napag-kasyahan namin ng dalawa kong sanggol + yaya + wifey, inside a corolla liftback!!

looks like slapz kasi cares also about his image, i remember him saying kelangan niya car na fit for his "manager" position. so he needs something good-looking coz he's already in a good position sa work. meron siguro sakanya internal need to show his accomplishments in life.

and of course the need of space, meron na sya family so his kia pride wouldnt work. not literally it wouldnt, mas gusto niya siguro ng mas comfortable and mas reliable.

buying a car per se isn't bad, it only gets bad when you compromise things in order to purchase one. kung kay slapz naman eh kaya nya w/o too much of compromising then go lang. still hoping na he chooses a vehicle that has better rep. record, pero if he really likes the haima then who are we to stop him hehe

Yes, tama lahat sinabi ni dr. D.

But no, there are no joneses, I won't be considering a Haima7 if there are, just scared about the fact that I will be having a second baby, and medyo madami ng risk if we are still travelling with a Kia Pride.

Ayoko na din sanang manghiram ng sasakyan every time na punta ako Manila, which is every Saturday for my classes. Although kaya naman ng Kia Pride yun, kakatakot nga lang.

By the way, after 33 pages, our decision is to get the Haima7. Just waiting for the clearing of my sold stocks. Napansin ko din na majority of this thread is about the Haima. Parang decided na nga ata kami since page 1, but I tried looking for some other options, but it's hard, because I was always comparing it to the price over specs of the Haima7.

We were looking at the SX4, ang liit naman nyan, tapos mas mahal ng 50K, something like that...

Anyway, thank you so much for your views. They are greatly appreciated. Kahit parang Agent na nga ako ng Haima dito. But I will use that as an advantage. I will tell my SA that I post in tsikot, and they should look at this thread, para alagaan naman nila yung Haima7 na kukunin ko.

goodluck! drive safe, and congrats sir sa magiging bagong ride.

wag mo kalimutan tong thread na toh sir, post some updates kung kamusta ang
performance ng haima7 mo after some time.

baka your experience with the unit (hopefully would turn out good) would change minds of some of us here na
china cars aren't that bad and kayang makipagsabayan sa mga jap and korean cars ngayon.

goodluck again, post sana some pictures here pag nakuha mo na.

haima 7 may be feature packed... its just like buying a feature packed china clone iphone vs buying a real iphone

most cars manufacturers that are new in the industry compensate for the added features..

just like what hyundai and kia did before.. the besta and grace vans are all feature packed, they have all the power amenities compared to mitsu L300 van and Nissan Urvan but they are priced lower.. now with china brand cars, they are feature packed but priced almost the same of the known brand with lesser features...
