If those are your car selections, go for the brand new rather than second hand. Unless you're stretching your parent's wallet (ex. di kayo kakain sa labas for 2 years), go for the brand new. Especially since it's your first car, iba talaga feeling once you have a brand new one than a pre-owned one.

Besides, Ondoy left a bad taste in our mouths for years to come.

I'd get a Tucson GLS kung kaya. If not, Altis 1.6 for the daily practicality of everyday driving. Spare cash? "Pa, akin nalang po "

I'm not saying that 2nd hand is not a good option. If you have the budget to get a brand new car then get one, pero kung pilit dahil gusto lang magkaroon, better get a 2nd hand car... Daming tao dyan na at the end of the month, walang pera kasi napunta ang big share ng salary sa monthly amortization ng kotse.

O.T. wow 100+ for a rotor disk & alternator? thats hi-way robbery. Malamang sa casa yan. I can get a rotor disk for my truck at around 3K a piece and brand new alternator for around 7K + cheap labor.

Your right imperlav that if it means getting a new car, at the expense of eating a huge chunk of the salary thats not a good preposition.

I will suggest you to buy a brand new car because second hand car has many issue like installments not completely paid or car had a major accident before and got repaired like that.Engine is okay or repaired.SO go for a brand new car..

From a purely numerical stand point, it's more plausible na bumili ng 2nd hand that's just only 3-5 years old. Brand new cars depreciate very fast in their initial years, kaya might as well have someone to take that expense for you.

almost same situation. im looking to buy my 1st car i've read it's more practical to buy second hand because of cost and depreciation.. pero I'm thinking if okay padin ba second hand if I want to keep the car for like 10 years? No intention to sell the car after a few years naman kasi.. help please for brand new, im looking at wigo, swift, or mirage.. automatic. help please for 2nd hand, budget siguro is 300k.

if you are going to keep your car for a long time and you are new to cars, it is better to buy brand new..... masasagad mo naman ang depreciation period nyan eh.... its is not a factor.

Talagang ganun kapag may car. Mapapagastos ka pa rin palagi. Never ka naman makaka-avoid rin sa mga yearly PMS at registration expenses nyan. Might as well use it regularly to gain its potential benefits of owning and having a car.
