My brother and I are on the search of our first car. We’re considering on getting a small car on the assumption that small cars=less F/C.
    These are the choice though we’re open to other suggestions;

a.Wigo – looks nice in person but is not yet proven.
b.Spark – love the design but I have doubts on Chevy’s after sales.
c.Picanto – my personal choice but I heard of not so good stories on its F/C
    d.Hyundai i10 – looks small IMO.
e.Mirage – considered the best on this category? Please confirm.
f.Kia Rio 1.2 – big legroom and compartment. Isn’t this underpowered considering its just 1.2?
g.2004-05 civic (eagle eye) – different category and quite old but we both love this car.

Regular passengers will be me and my parents (since he’s working abroad), and will be used every day and occasional out of town trips.

    Thanks!!!

When push comes to shove, I'd go with the Mirage too.

But for me, a Vios is better.

If you considered Kia Rio 1.2 as one of the contenders, why not the Base model Vios?

Among your choices, yes the mirage but same also for me, Vios is better, mine (vios 2007 1.3) had already 160t kms, never had any problem I travel daily 120 to 160 kms daily, my FC is 14-16kpl this season (not using AC) for summer 10-12kpl, 2-3 passengers daily mix highway and city.

Also considered the Vios but didn't like the new look. Mirage is your best option among your choices. The new Grand i10 pricing isn't so competitive.

Too expensive. It's way beyond my budget of 650K

mirage din for me. pero last month 10k lang discount ng mirage tapos 40k discount sa g4. kaya konti na lang difference nila. mas may cargo space for g4

I would recommend the Vios too but since you left it out of the equation, my suggestion would be the Mirage G4, wouldn't it be nice if you had a little more trunk space compared to the hatchback. Also based on reviews so far, it has reported good fuel consumption.

Among your choices, I'd go with the Rio. The 1.2L Kappa is actually quite good despite the meager displacement. I personally find the others overly puny... This one at least has a good sized trunk and proper seating space for five adults. You can also consider the Accent 1.4M/T. At 40k more than the Rio, you get a similarly sized interior and trunk and a bigger 1.4L Kappa (and not the previous problematic Gamma) engine. Definitely no qualms with underpowering here.

Went to Toyota Shaw to check out the Wigo. Maluwag yung loob pero there's something missing na hindi ko alam. Wala yung excitement pag-upo ko.

    I'd get a Vios J for the 650K budget.
