Maybe, overall, the Accord 3.5...
But then again, if you're looking at a car to drive yourself, the Mazda6 is the best one on the market. Just enough space, just enough luxury, just enough power, great looks and great driving dynamics. Not as good of a backseat car as the Camry or Accord... but how often are you going to be in the back seat?
If you don't mind the looks, though, a Subaru Forester 2.5 XT sure hits the spot... mhmm. Turbooooo.
Kung SUV, your choices in this price range kinda suck. The Santa Fe 4x4 CRDi almost has it all... could use some more oomph. The RAV4 is probably the most complete package, but then again, it's way overpriced.
You actually have better choices in vans and pick-ups in this price range than SUVs. Lots of great pick-ups... a couple of good vans.

uumm.. uumm.. can you stretch your budget just alil bit and get a subie STI instead!
Weld preparation is poor. The WPS should have clearly specified what's to be done. Given that...
