I understand OB's point. I know people who have no practical use for a pickup save for the occasional dive into flooded streets. Some of them get buyer's remorse shortly and end up selling it with very low mileage. But then there are others who really enjoy them. One of them is a doctor. Using it makes him happy and that's what's most important isn't it? Everyone is different. For some people the pick-up is their 3rd, 4th or 5th car. For some it's their only car and the only one that fits their lifestyle. If anything I guess the lesson is to step back and take your time in choosing which car you really want/need.
