January 8th, 2016 04:18 PM #168Raced with many montero 2.5v already in my ltz. And mine is the older engine hindi pa new model. Mine is the 180hp version and not the newer 200hp 500NM version. Even my older unit would easily beat the monteros. No iffs and buts. Headstart or no headstart for the opposition

eto computation bakit pure BS yang 120kph * 1500 rpm.
according to 2016 montero sports specs sheet:
6th gear ratio for manual = 0.651
8th gear ratio for a/t = 0.672
final gear ratio = 3.865 for both manual and a/t.
both have 265/60r18 tires.
circumference of tire:
(((265×0.60×2)/25.4)+18)×2.54×3.1415)100 = 2.435 meters.
at 120kph:
120,000/60 minutes/2.435 = 821.355 revolutions of the wheel per minute at 120 kph.
for manual transmission:
engine rpm = wheel rpm x final gear ratio x 6th gear ratio
= 821.355 x 3.865 x 0.651
= 2,066 rpm * 120 kph.
for automatic transmission:
engine rpm = 821.355 x 3.865 x 0.672
= 2,133 rpm, assuming no loss from the hydromatic.
sige pa ipagboladas mo pa yang 120kph * 1500 rpm lie mo.
the only way you can get that picture they ask you is on an a/t, then run at higher than 120kph then let go off the accelerator pedal so engine rpm goes down then take the picture as the needle goes to the 120kph mark. syempre di ka na nakatapak sa gas pedal mababa na rpm. di mo pa ginagawa huli ko na kung paano.
