Very nice. The bigger dimensions are very welcome as the current Ertiga is rather cramped compared to the competition.

Definitely gonna see a price increase when it gets launched here vs. the outgoing model, but as long as it's in line with the Xpander/Mobilio/Rush then it should be fine.

These budget MPVs are actually pretty light, just the same weight as a sedan. The BRV S and Xpander GLS both just weigh 1,240 kg. That's 25kg lighter than an Altis 1.6G CVT.

Wow! That's really surprising. I never imagined those vehicles to be lighter than the Altis.

I guess I was just used to my first car (2.0 sedan) that's why the corollas feel slow and heavy

    BTT.

What do you guys think of the plan to keep the Rush as 5 seats only for the lower variants?

Exhibit A: Kagalingan posted that the BRV had an ugly rear. Ry_Tower, dr.d, and GTcervan all chimed in their opinions relating to the importance of a car's rear aesthetics.

Who did you call out? GTcervan, even if his point made sense.

He cited the Montero as an example that a vehicle with an unsightly rear (this is a common opinion shared by many btw) can still be a best-seller, which supports his opinion that the design of a car's rear isn't really a dealbreaker.

I wouldn't classify this series of exchanges as OT, because it was made in the context of a comment on the BRV's rear design. Also, no personal attacks were made. I'd like to think that you have sufficient reading comprehension to understand the connection between these posts.

Exhibit B: Both dos2 and GTcervan opined that they think the Rush will come out as the best seller in the segment.

Who did you single out and mock? GTcervan again.

GTcervan's mistake was to not have the temperance to ignore your taunts. I already gave the 3 of you a warning to stop the snide remarks, regardless of whether you started it or simply retaliating. Only maxpedition has complied. So I called GTcervan again, and now am calling you out again.

Is it so hard for you to accept that other people may have an opinion different from yours?

Everyone here tolerates your opinion when you say that the Xpander looks best and that the Rush and BRV are awkward because of their SUV pretentions. I hope that you can also accept that not everyone is as enamored with Mitsubishi's MPV as you are.

Well, that is your opinion and I respect that, ang akin lang medyo bias, pero ok lang. Atleast nasabi ko ang napapansin ko sa website na ito na I think mkakatulong. Thanks MOD JUT

It's so difficult to be a moderator, you have to be lenient and strict all at the same time and strike the balance where it should be.

It's good to know that people around here are kind-hearted and helpful most of the time.

Although most pinoys ata does not wear seatbelt at the 2nd and 3rd row, hopefully may kasamang seatbelts yung ibebenta sa banawe kasi malamang yung 5 seater eh walang seatbelt sa 3rd row.

Uu nga nu, when at first impression mukhang mas maraming sheet at solid metal ang ginamit sa mga dimensionally bigger vehicles na to compared sa Altis.

I tell the passengers seated behind me that wearing seat belts is for MY safety, not theirs ... a child will weigh as much as a baby elephant during rapid deceleration ...

I also tell my passengers to wear their seat belts. It's safer if they are bolted on their seats.

Sa pagsara palang ng pinto, alam mo nang mas solid ang build ng mga compacts kaysa sa mga subcompact MPV.

My general indicator for quality of a car is its width. Cheap cars are usually narrow cars.

Compare a CRV and BRV. Length and height are similar, but the BRV is narrower by 5 inches. Even the Xpander which is already the biggest in its class is actually 2" narrower than a Civic. Heck, the Rush is actually narrower than even the tiny Miata!

Deceiving talaga height and length but yung width, bihira nga tignan kaya dun sila nakakatipid. Somehow marketing strategy na rin. hehe

Based on the other thread, it seems that only the Rush will offer LED headlamps and side airbags in this segment.

Toyota is actually class-leading in terms of features. It also has the traction control and hill start assist of the GLS Sport Xpander.

🤪 just my opinion ...
