Due to lack of competitors ba dahil mas solo pa ng avanza dati yung market?

Never came in LHD. Primary markets were Japan, Indonesia, and Malaysia. All RHD.

It didn't make economic sense to make a LHD model with low demand (since the market was still saturated with Adventures and Crosswinds at the time). The Avanza was sufficient.

Now with a bigger pie to capture and a growing market interest for gas-fed budget 7-seaters, bringing in the Rush could pay dividends for TMP.

Ganun ba?

So more or less, it's the other way around pala? Grabe. At mas nauna pa pala ata ito kaysa avanza.

Anyway, I'm referring din kasi sa local market dito satin. Kaya yun ang inisip ko. Between toyota and honda, nauna avanza tapos mobilio and then br-v. Tapos itong rush will come and will be similar also sa avanza din. Pero i feel that a lot of people would like it more since it also looks more sportier than the avanza.

So more or less, people would probably choose the rush more over this one because of the looks alone.

    Ayy nako! 😂

Don't assume na I'm him. I'm just eager lang din to learn new things. ☺

Main target ng small MPV segment ang Indonesia, kaya doon malaking benta ng rush, terios, ertiga, avanza noon before dumating xpander.
Believe it or not, daihatsu ang biggest carmaker sa indonesia dahil mabenta mga “budget cars” nila. Afaik, ibang company may hawak ng diahatsu from toyota sa indonesia, tulad ng HARI and Columbian dito.
Dito sa pinas, i think daihatsu is under the toyota umbrella, kaya walang marketing ang daihatsu dito.
Nag-boom na rin car sales sa atin so toyota decided to bring in the rush which fits inbetween the avanza and innova.

OT: may daihatsu pa ba sa atin?[emoji51]

New Eritga has grown 130mm (length) and 40mm (width), still not as big as the Class leading Xpander.

    Old Ertiga L X W 4265 x 1695 (mm)
    New Ertiga L x W 4365 x 1735 (1.5 inch wider)
    Xpander L x W 4475 x 1750
    Rush L x W 4435 1695
    BR-V L x W 4455 x 1735

Afaik, wala na atang daihatsu dito eh. Mga imported lang alam kong meron which are converted units from japan kasi producer din sila ng tinatawag na kei cars dun. Mas dominant naman kasi ang toyota satin since 90s or 00s. So naging subsidiary na din nila ang daihatsu and therefore, some of their models were rebadged as toyotas kaya parang it's pointless na din here to offer the brand pa locally.

    Sub Compact MPV's

Not about the performance or maximum load capabilities..

Mas focus sa yan sa family usage..

lalo kung merong infant or senior citizen..

very flexible driving ang ganitong sasakyan..

the positives outweigh the negatives if your budget is limited to these mpvs.

Just to add, this is sad actually. In Japan, there are more Daihatsu's than mitsubishi's plying around the city. Though they may be called kei cars, their mini vans and the like are well proportioned for their city's road width, and the looks are heartwarmingly interesting and cute. Very versatile indeed. This could work in the Philippines
