After using it to go to work for a month, I was converted. *lol* The covenience it gives me on Manila's traffic is so incalculable, and it didn't take long for me to adjust how to drive an AT for fun.

Majority of people buying TOTL cars are your typical mototrists who need to get from point A to point B with the least stress and aggravation, a very tough goal in our country's road conditions. They don't care about 0-100 kph numbers, nor do they care how the car performs when navigating a double apex, since they'll probably do it under 40 kph anyway. They definitely have no "one-with-the-car" philosophies. All they care about is that they're riding in comfort and in style.I'm planning to get a new car next year and, because it's probably gonna be an executive sedan, it's gonna be an automatic. Heck, I'll probably still get an automatic if I change my mind and get a coupe hehe!

The only way I'll get a manual is if I go crazy and decide to get a WRX STI, or a pickup that I'll haul off to real offroading jaunts. But then, these are fun driving stints, not daily driving chores
1 lang nakita kong xtrail na MT, and it has diplomat plate, sadly, it was flooded and it took months to find a replacement ecu...

Current Accord in V6 has the designation of 3.5 SV. You must mean the Camry if you are referring to the 3.5Q designation?

Hehe.

So 84% of Americans in the US aren't real drivers... makes me proud to be a convert.

When I started driving I made it my point to get an Automatic Car but after taking lessons on learning to drive stick I never looked back....

AFAIK, since its launch in late 2008, the GE only had M/T available in the 1.3 variant.

The GD had the M/T option for both the 1.5 and 1.3 variant.

Ok lang sakin A/T basta may paddle shift and 6 speed. Convenience of A/T, F/C is closer to M/T's, and ung "FUN FACTOR" Close sa M/T din.

For me a/t provides more comfort even if you have a driver. Maybe TOTL owners are looking at that as well. Preference ko din m/t back in college but these days kahit sa province sobrang traffic na din.

For our Utility vehicles, I am glad Ford still has M/T for their Everest / Ranger TOTL.

Like the RS/SI/ST etc. ng Jazz, Civic, Focus, Fiesta and lahat na ng may sport variant. Now I know kung bakit hindi nila madala dito yang mga variants na yan. Heck, even the WRX STI Impreza has the A-Line now.

sabi ng friend ko na nagtatrabaho sa office ng isang motor corporation, (I will not mention on what company she's working on for confidential matter)

--sabi niya bago daw pala magdetermine at maglabas ng specific model/variant e may research study, survey about people and traffic condition to specific what kind of variant may suit in that kind of place or condition, here in the Philippines lumabas sa studies na more on urban and sub-urban areas ang kumukuha ng automobiles, at more in demand ang A/T for those kind of buyers, at due to traffic condition people prefer to drive A/T than M/T and that's according to a survey they conducted.

A/T ang TOTL variants na lumalabas daw naun, saka it depends naman daw sa outlook ng company e, yung iba nga alam ko e, M/T e TOTL,

in European countries naman 85% are more prefered on driving M/T than those A/T, why? because car's are make in that way to drive with a stick daw according to motoring today show

At kaya nga mga AT nila dun ay 6speed and up na ang configuration para magustuhan pa rin ng tao yung good mileage na nabibigay nito vs let's say a 4speed AT.

Yup twin clutch 6 A/T with manual override yung GT-R. Ok rin yung BMW SMG transmission.

Super car naman ata yung R35, kasi it performs like a super car.
