Alto vs. Picanto vs. Getz

I'm also planning to buy picanto yung "facelifted" na model nila. that is how I got here since i am looking for feedbacks from current or previous picanto owners. kaso nagcheck ako sa prices ng ibang cars and found out that honda city is only 575k. dagdag na lang ako ng 75k honda city na.

nagdalawang isip tuloy ako sa picanto. actually nagbayad na ko ng reservation fee (refundable sabi ng sales) pero talagang i'm having second thoughts sa picanto which is my best choice among getz and any other similar car. picanto looks cute and has good engine naman daw sabi ng bf ko and the sales told me that their new design is more aerodynamic and mas stable na daw while driving at expressways.

Get the city. The price difference is too small and fuel of the city is
also very good. I think you will still be able to request a discount for the city.

may promo ang honda balintawak ngyn. hanapin mo si neth. may discount etc. sa kanila ako dapat kukuha ng city noon

if the choice would be:
Alto, Picanto, and getz - i'd go for the getz.
why? becoz of the ff:
-hyundai is better than its sister kia,
-Alto is too bare,
-Suzuki is not known in the automobile industry,
-Hyundai has a 5 year/100kms warranty,
-Picanto for me is overpriced - when it was launched i heard they initially sold it for 1m for 3 units.
-getz is bigger in dimension compared to picanto and alto.

But if you include the CITY in the fold - i'd go for the CITY

It depends on your needs. Kung hindi ka naman madalas magdala ng mga large cargo then go for the city.... pero kung madalas ka magdala ng cargo then go for the picanto. Since the rear seats can be folded, kasya siguro ang aircon or 21inch tv doon.... medyo mahirap ilagay sa mga sedan iyon like the city... the city has also higher maintenance cost but its worth it because honda naman siya kaya most of the parts are casa priced. In terms of fuel efficiency I think it is almost the same both city and picanto.

if you need bigger trunk space, go for the Getz. Saw a Picanto in their showroom three weeks ago and it is like a 3 inch shorter version of the Getz!

if you need fuel economy, Picanto tends to the leader on this category, since its ligther than the Getz, almost the same with the Alto

If you need point a to point b car and no fuss, go for the alto.

But overall, it is still the Getz for me! hehe! loyal!

Seriously, if you will check every vehicle per showroom, Getz is still the winner in terms of overall after sales service and parts, brand recognition, affordability and lastly, build quality. Suzuki is notorious for high parts cost while Kia here in PH, you have to endure their level of service...

The Getz is a much bigger car than either of the two, and fuel economy isn't going to be much different. In fact, compared to most super-minis... the Getz actually feels like a full-sized car on the inside.

Go for the Getz mainly because of the high level of service. Kia casas are unprofessional at parang kang nagpapagawa sa talyer. Pati nga sales personnel nila sa showroom parang pinulot lang sa kalye, no training whatsoever.

I remember I almost walked out of the showroom because the salelady insisted that the Alto has self leveling suspension. She insisted that if the back of the Alto is loaded heavily it would not tilt because the car would correct itself. Even when I told her that her information was wrong and that what she probably means is that the Alto's headlight can be adjusted when the rear load is heavy, she insisted on her information. So I called the manager and informed him tha misinformation like that should not be tolerated in the display room. The saleslady eventually apologized when corrected by the manager.
I do hope that they do give more technical training to their sales people.
