January 8th, 2007 11:17 PM #5when you use an automatic tranny you dont push it so hard so it does not burn. When you're in a hurry and you need to accelerate more than the usual sa startup then use the OD switch para maximize nya yung gears 1-4 then use the switch again to reach the fifth gear. In this case hindi stress yung highest gear which is usually nabuburn. \

If you don't have the budget to maintain the Galant and pay for its fuel consumption, you will truly be sorry in the long run.
Maintenance costs will be 2X to 3X higher. And gasoline consumption will be 30% to 40% higher. Expect to pay at least 50k a year for maintenance (possibly much more, if something expensive like the computer or transmission breaks). Also look at your daily driving pattern. If you drive 25km a day, you will consume ~5L per day on the Galant, and about 3L on the Civic. That's a difference of 80 pesos per day or 1600 per month.

January 8th, 2007 12:56 PM #10hmmm... 2 for galant, 2 for the civic... thanks for the replies. yung galant shark type na matic, yung civic din matic. para magamit din ng wife ko. im leaning towards the galant kasi mas mura ng more than 50k e, as for fuel consumption, di naman ihaharurot. malaki ba talaga diff ng dalawa?
