bugsy,
my take on toyota parts purchasing, even for the rav4,
1. probably not that difficult, as it's a toyota. hey! there's always the casa!
2. probably competitive pricing, outside the casa.
3. dahil matibay (again, "daw"), you won't spend your weekends parts-hunting. "when they get fixed, they stay fixed."
if TS wants to gambol, and is willing to up his price to 816K, as someone already suggested,
there's the new raize.

Ground clearance of a Forester or Outback is at 8.7” or 221mm, similar to the usual PPVs. If getting the XT, better look for the 2017-2018 models which comes stock with steering-adaptive headlights. All AWD Subarus come with X-Mode, a system that will have the car maximize traction for off-road surfaces.
Assuming you’re a speed junkie - no PPV or CUV or even most compact cars can hold a candle in terms of performance against the Forester XT. It is quick off a sprint (between 7 to 8 seconds in 0 to 100kmh) and it can get you to over 200kmh assuming you have the nerves to drive that fast. Not to mention it can easily crawl in mud, sand, gravel, or lahar without fear of getting stuck.
Sa mga anti-CVT, di Puwede Subaru or Honda or newer Toyotas. Get something else though don’t settle for those with dinosaur 4-speed ATs.

I change my front lower arm bushings every 30k km. Mapa orig or replacement, same lifespan. Thank goodness i didn’t have much aircon issues with my XT but I did change the expansion valve and rubber o-rings. Subaru aircon though is not as strong as the one on my Mitsubishi ASX.
CVTF and gear oil needs to be changed every 40k km. You have the option to do dialysis on the CVTF or just drain&refill. Full dialysis requires around 14L while drain&refill only around 6L. The XT uses a high-torque CVTF which is different from the non-turbo Forester - they are not interchangeable. Gear oil change only needs 1.5L - that covers both front and rear axles.
The XT also has a bigger front brake disc so it uses a different front brake pad - similar to the WRX. The rear pads is similar to the one used on the Outback. With my driving habits, I change front pads every 30k km. I highly suggest Akebono pads. In my experience, they are better than stock and even Brembos. I had a bad experience using the non-slotted Brembos - it caused my brake piston to stuck up.
When changing tires, change all 4 tires. Subaru’s AWD system is always active, and thus all 4 tires are simultaneously spinning. The front tires degrades faster due to braking and steering but a regular front-back rotation will keep tire wear even.

How about the CRV? Its on the same level of the RAV4 if not a bit cheaper, have a 4wd option, though not as good as the Subarus.
