    Guys, can you help me decide which 7 seater is best for me.
    I am concerned about:

    Safety Features
    Comfort / space (must seat 7 adults comfortably)
    price is not more than 1.6M

    I've looked at Alterra / Everest / Fortuner
    I've also consider Sta. Fe / Sorento
    But I want to hear from neutral experts (you!)

    For family use, paved roads usually.
    I prefer (clean) and economical diesel engine
    what could be best for me (even not in the list above)?

    thanks

    Scratch out the Alterra, it's old, it's too big and it's too expensive.

    The rest is perfect. Though I`d prioritize the Santa Fe because of it's comfortable and plush ride feeling and the great torque that it can give. Also, the features are superb for it's price.

    add ko lang din, it is the safest out of all the TS's choices.

    status aside, Innova is the best. 2.5G (D4D) model.

    None of these will seat 7 adults comfortably. An Innova would come close to meeting this criteria.

    will you be using the 3rd row often??? Mas ok ang MPV vs SUV/CUV.. The 3rd row of the latter is a bit tight in terms of leg room.

    Better look for an MPV like the Carnival or Starex.. Pero kung occasion lang.. SF na lang.

    BTW, dami ng discussion about this.

    Ang suggestion ko, i test drive mo lahat , kasama family mo. Then you all decide kung saan kayo comfortable. Pera mo yan kaya kung saan ka masaya duon ka.

    If capacity is your priority, don't get one with a stupid excuse for a third row.

    Santa Fe.

    Pero mas mabuti kung MPV or Van or Mini-Van.

    Grand Starex or Kia Carnival.

    All choices stated by the TS will not sit seven (7) adults comfortably. If that is a priority then better to look at family vans such as the Carnival, Starex, Previa (or Ford Expedition or Chevy Suburban) if you want to comfortably sit seven plus luggage.

    Test drive and take your time as the others have already suggested

    Compared to what you've mentioned so far, the Montero actually seats 7 quite well. The legroom at the rearmost seats are not the best, but they're ok, as long as you're not giants.

    With that, you do have to consider that if the 3rd row seats are used, there is barely any room left for luggage. If you really need a large capacity vehicle for everyday use, get a Van, or be spend 3+ Million on the bigger SUVs.

    Bringing the whole family during weekend for a test is the best solution , kung ano ang majority choice yun ang the best for the family ; maraming choices , so there's plenty of time to use kung hindi ka nagmamadali sa pagkuha ;

    Better read some of the threads here in tsikot about your choices first para pag test drive mo you know what you really wanted to know ;

    meron ako dating 7-seater starex, 3rows of seat. Ok sana yun. pero puro grand starex ang lumalabas ngayon, parang masyadong malaki, puro 4 rows....
    mini van nga sana na below 1.6M

    So far, parang maraming favor sa sta. fe......

    Between the models mentioned, Santa Fe FTW!

    But yes, neither one of the models mentioned will comfortably seat 7 adults. The Carnival LWB will be able to seat up to 8 adults comfortably with some gear. Downside is it's pretty wide and long, so it's not as usable on a day to day basis (unless you have a driver) as the 7 seaters mentioned.
