and how much would it cost kaya kase di daw siya sabay sabay nag l-lock. actuator siguro. btw 230k siya, sama repaint and new HU another plus is medyo malapit siya samen.

Pa check mo muna at baka naipit lang yung cables dun sa door locks or lumuwag yung attachment ng actuator kaya di sumasabay yung locking action. Kung sira man yung actuator, mura lang naman yun (mga 600 per piece or 2k yung isang set na).
Thanks sir Egan101. But overall, is it a good buy if no other issues, for its price and mileage?
Honestly sir, I would follow the trend of latest posts in this thread. Your preference and priority may not be the same as I do. So, the best option will be the used car that fits your needs and strikes a good balance in terms of fuel expense, reliability (maintenance), and access to parts. If you think the car fits such requirements, then it is a good buy then.
thanks sir GTi. yes sir its the 2.0 RS. also thanks sir Egan101. if all goes well, kunin ko na siya, no perfect second hand ika nga. I have a good friend who owns an RS, so itll work in my favor i guess. balitaan ko kayo mga sirs, hopefully by next week, we can cut a deal.
Hello to all Ford Lynx experts,
I was also asking this question: "is a 2nd hand Ford Lynx still a good buy?" and decided to surf the web and that is how I got here.
Okay, after reading the whole thread from page 1 to 15 it gives me the impression that the Ford Lynx is a good car compared to other cars of same age, however, I would like to expand the question since a most important factor is parts availability.
How about if you are from the province, as with my case, I'm in Iloilo. Here, the Ford Lynx seems not so common. Most cars here now, from old to new models, are Toyota's, Nissan's, Honda's, Mitsubishi's, but I have always liked the Ford Lynx when I've seen them from about 2001 to 2009. Lately though you don't see them often. I'm planning on buying a second-hand car and was at first searching for Nissan's and that's when I saw the Ford Lynx in some pictures and remembered it from the past how I liked the looks of this car before, even more than the other brands cars.
My head tells me to stick to more common brands but I remembered I loved the Ford Lynx looks in the past just like remembering a beautiful crush from the past ;)
Maybe some Ford Lynx owners here from Iloilo? So is it advisable to buy a second-hand Ford Lynx if you are based in Iloilo? Are the spare parts hard to find here?
You may want to check out for the availability of its spare parts. Also, be prepared to get the lowest resale value should you decide to sell your Ford Lynx in the near feature.
If I remember correctly, the Ford Lynx model has already been replaced by their Ford Focus way back in 2006.
Hi, newbie hir.
Just like to ask magkano aabutin kapag basag ang left headlight ng ford lynx ghia? At magkano rin po kaya kung ipataas kung pina lowered nung 1st owner ung car?, planning to buy a 2nd hand car.
*indicator light po pala sa front-left nung car yung basag hindi headlights
Reviving this thread.
Looking to buy a 2005 Ford Lynx RS MT. Test drove one this afternoon. Seems ok except for the shifter that seems "loose". Is this normal? What are the other things that I need to check? Is it a good buy at 260k?
Hello Guys... i wanna buy a second hand car in manila... my budget is like 175k - 180k...
i've searched in Sulit and some other websites which provide a hand full of second hands cars in my range of price... i noticed the Ford Lynx and the price is surprisingly cheap... 150k and 160k tops for the 2004 and 2003 model... what do you think ? is it a good purchase or i m throwing my money away? there are some other cars in that range... like chevy optra but i have red some pretty nasty reviews for that car... and also some nissan cars like Exalta and Sentra GX... and i have no idea what to do... Help me Guys... tnx tnx tnx salamat
Primary problem mo dyan sa Ford Lynx will be the price and availability of parts.
It will be the same big headache na naranasan ko sa Mazda 323 ko dati kasi halos identical sila ng parts and interchangable...
For that budget range mas maganda na mag stick ka with Toyota or Nissan

In regards to the original inquiry. Sa looks, drive experience and advance features lamang talaga si Ford. Pero pang 3-4 years lang ang buhay. Dapat before mag 5 years ibenta mo na dahil ang mamahal ng parts madalas pa hindi available, sa casa lang mabibili so mataas ang price ng spare parts and service.
For me if you are looking for a second hand car na mad reliable and mura ang cost of ownership, look for Japanese brands like Toyota, Honda or Mitsubishi. Sigurado mural lang replacement parts and always available. Original surplus parts are also available sa Banawe or Evangelista Pasay.
di ba the Lynx and Mazda 323 share platforms? pati rin ba sa engine at parts?
kasi, nung naghanap ako ng air intake flow tube sa Fordland nitong weekend lang, wala silang ganung part.
mahirap nang makahanap ng 323 parts.![]()
Yeah. See the identical doors and mirrors?

This is also the same as the Haima Family II, which was sold by Haima briefly. All the under-hood parts are exactly the same, though the Family supposedly has different engine tuning.

Granted, some parts now have to be ordered, but most common parts are still readily available from Mazford.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
