Yup the Strada is lighter. But the problem with it is it looks to bare. small tire and wheels, no Fender flares, no abs/ebd.
But if paltan mo wheels, pogi agad

Di pa ako naka test ng New Ranger. Strada yes, i already did plenty of times with the GLS Sport V and GLX-V. Not so good off-road ability though it's very Comfortable, has a nice TPMS feature, nice seat fabric and powerful. But for the GLX-V, i'm sorry, if you're not going to get a GLS then never mind the Strada.

Ford is as well durable. Remember Ondoy? There were cars that was flooded until the roof and all it needed was complete detailing and few minor fixes, unlike other brands that needed a complete ECU replacement and what not.

As to why is this, ang alam ko Ford ECUs especially with the Ranger & Everest are considered waterproof. Or if not totally waterproof, malaki ang resistance sa tubig. So it's a plus as well.

Disclaimer lang: I don't own a Ford. Although a family friend used to own two. An Expedition and an Explorer Sport Trac, and boy these guys had good times with it 'til the units were sold. And if the Ranger uses the same AC system that's found on the current Everest, it's ice cold. I've been in three Everests, grabe lamig. My new Toyota can't even compare with how cold Ford's AC system is.

On a daily basis, torque lang naman usually kailangan. HP comes important when you're doing high-speed run all the time.

I'm not saying that the Strada is bad, in fact it's one good car. All I'm saying is, when you want a specific car -- and it looks like you favor the Ranger more -- get it. Mahirap magsisi.

Nandito kasi ako sa Baguio, at ang nearest Ford is at Dagupan, Baguio has Motorplaza to service the strada if ever.

Ranger ako dito. all-new, impressive in and out. i'm inclined getting the ranger over our other choice, the montero. nakakaturn-off yung mga nakikita ko na mauusok na montero. yung iba as in black na black talaga labas even yung mga VGT ganun din yung iba. I guess ganun na talaga since it uses the old 4d56 though macacalibrate or program naman siguro ng CASA. the advantage of having the 4d56 is of course, the parts can be sourced from many auto supplies, cheaper too.

Ah nasa Baguio ka pala. Di ko alam if Ford parts there are scarce but as far as I know, ok naman Mitsu parts diyan. So if ever you push through with the Strada, meron taga-Baguio na TSCP that is likely to be more than willing to help you out. ;)

ang na try ko lang i-drive is a 2007 (not sure sa year) 3.0 hilux 4x4. how does the hilux ride comfort compare to the ranger (assume) and strada? alam ko generally matagtag ang ride ng pick up, pero huwag lang parang tamaraw fx, ok na ako.

    the 2012 glx-V has abs/ebd na daw.

for the ranger, at the moment, di ka talaga bibigyan ng unit not unless mag in-house financing ka or maraming kikitain yung dealer sa iyo. parang sa amin. nawala yung purpose ng reservation kasi ayaw ibigay yung unit. gusto nila kunin ko yung all-in nila which has ridiculously high interest and long term payment. let the hype subside before buying. regular naman ata shipment ng ranger.

based from reviews, comfortable na din daw yung ranger. maybe same as strada. mas maige ata mag-strada ka nalang over the ranger sir
