August 10th, 2012 01:58 AM #3If you are to choose only between these two, definitely get the CX7, the 2012 ford escape is old and a new one is due for 2013.
But also be informed, if you do not know yet, that the CX7 has been discontinued by Mazda and you have to factor in parts availability in the future if you still go through with a CX7 purchase.
Or you could wait for the 2013 Ford Escape before you decide on anything.

August 10th, 2012 05:14 PM #6I would recommend cx7 over the soon to be replaced escape. But then again, if you are open to it, try out the cx5. I tested it and it was decent. Tried the cx7 before and I thought it was pretty bare.

Cx7 is better than ford escape. However, if you can still wait for the new escape to be released next year, hibernate muna. As mentioned above the cx7 will be replaced soon. I agree with meateater that cx5 Is a great and decent car.take a second look!
