With Kia and Hyundai being sister companies, is there really a difference in engine for this one? I saw the new Picanto has 1.0L and new i10 has the 1.1L , both are Kappa engine. Kia say picanto can perform 20Km/L while Hyundai say i10 is 14Km/L. Kia SA says theirs has the CVVT, thus explains the fuel efficiency. Is this true? Isn't CVT just meant to reduce CO2 emission level? If this is true, then does this mean that the i10 is over-power because the weight is practically the same? One more thing, anybody knows why Hyundai reduced i10's engine back from 1.25L to 1.1L?
