If I were in your shoes, I'd pick the Altis. I won't mind if the Altis is a manual since Toyotas are known to have soft clutches compared to Honda's. And that's already proven by yours truly.

Altis. Bigger car, better looking interior, recent facelift, D-VVti. If you can push your budget get the 1.6G A/T at 894k.

If you're talking the AT City versus the MT Altis... I'd get the Altis.
The City has slightly better interior quality, but the Altis has more elbow-room (legroom is quite similar) and fuel economy is better with the MT.
And yes, the Altis 1.6 rides better and is more refined. Steering sucks, but hey, it's a commuter, not a racecar

The 1.5 City AT is just as quick against the clock as an Altis 1.6 AT, actually, slightly faster.
But the Altis has more of a feeling of being "quick", because it builds up torque earlier than the Honda.

Both are trusted brands and very reliable cars, But get the compact one vs the sub-compact IMO. Same price eh. MT pa, mas madali maintenance. And 6-speed, wow, sarap niyan sa hway.
