2010 sorento vs. 2010 montero

My sister is planning to buy a new car, she wants the montero but as i read further on the sorento topic here i fell in love with it , now the problem is my dad he doesn't want a car made by koreans even though I'm explaining it's features compared to the montero still he's insisting that it' is a kia.

its hard well the best way is to take your Dad and Sister at both KIA&MMC showrooms where they will see the units and compare and then they can decide which one to take btw both cars are good AFAIK

If your going to think for the resale value before you buy..

At the first place sana hindi nyo naisip ang Sorento.

Wala naman reason ngayon para maging mababa ang resale value ng Kia eh. AFAIK mataas ang resale value ng Carens.

At huli sa lahat, bibili ka ng kotse to use it, to enjoy the features, etc. Hindi para isipin ang value after 5 years.

obviously di na updated yung dad mo sa recent technologies...its very hard to convince a person still living with his knowledge of the past...

tell him to read the internet para medyo maintindihan nya kung ano meron ang KIA/Hyundai nowadays...

Well as for me... I'm a hyundai-kia crdi fanatic and I have tried different crdi engines already non goes near the power and the comfort of these korean units. Japans crdi engines are still problematic, we have an innova and an strada and still hoping na sana hindi masira yun d4d ng innova namin and yun strada naman doesnt match up to the power of my carens and tucson. love the korean crdi enginesso much. test drive one and you will immediately change your perception with korean cars.

Power Comfort/Interior Space and Style...

Though Montero is also good pero para kasi sa akin yung tatlong nasa taas ang lamang nang Kia sa Montero.. PARA SA AKIN HA.. baka kasi may mag react na naman dyan...

I cant believe when people are buying a vehicle ang nasa unang listahan nila eh resale value...Yung resale value para sa akin saka ko lang iisipin after 5-10 years..pag na enjoy ko na sasakyan ko...

both are ok naman eh.. if you want more advanced crdi technology,sorento for me..sabihin mo na lang sa dad mo na german technology ang kia..di naman kayo siguro mag offroad ng todo x2 eh..di ba..with minor off roading ok ang sorento..

so far our monty really served us well. I was really amazed with its off road capability..siguro kung sabay lang sila lumabas, sorento kukunin namin but no regrets with monty ..

+1 hehehe kaya lang bak lalo umatras ang dad niya... dahil sa lakas ng engine. sometimes nagiging cons kasi ito dahil sa pure power nito. it's crazy.

Pero Sorento parin number 1 para sa akin.

Wag kamo sya magulat pag may Sorento CRDi na nag-overtake tapos naka smile lang yung driver

we have both cars,

if you will just be using the car for city driving. i highly suggest you go with the Kia sorrento!!!! strong engine, really good ride and in the highways, it's really fun to rev and drive all the way upto 180kph.....and kaya pa nyan...also think of this.... that the kia sorrento is also sold in north american countries which says a lot about its safety and reliability as an international car for all markets.

now, if you will be using the vehicle for offroad and the durability of a truck for manila streets, montero sport is the truck for you but be warned of the dreaded scv problem of the mnontero sport, noisy steering wheel problem. but you have the super slect 4wd system of the previous pajero, so i hope you will choose wisely and consider your driving habits, and use for the vehicle.

but if 4x2 diesel 7 seater....go with the sorrento....better car overall.
