Mukhang natakot ang HARI kaya nilabas na nila yung 4WD na Santa Fe na overpriced...
Care to expound on these alleged flaws of the new CRV?

I think the price is one factor that is hindering sales of the Outlander.

overpriced sobra ang Outlander. why not price it tulad ng X-trail and CRV, baka makalaban.

The Outlander's (exorbitant) price is partially influenced by the slow passage of a free trade deal with Japan (similar to the AFTA), which is why it is subjected to high taxes. OTOH, the CRV is CBU from Thailand, which allows Honda Phils to take advantage of more beneficial tax/duties arrangements as mandated by the AFTA.

The top of the line Rav4 is pricier than the Outlander at a little less than 1.8M. But I see a lot of Rav4's on the road.

That is true. Maybe, we should give the outlander a little more time. after all, it's just been newly introduced. mitsubishi's marketing department should really step up its efforts.
honda, on the other hand, enjoys a bevy of dedicated devotees...

the CRV is recommended and highly rated on all automobile websites (e.g consumer reports, etc) but the outlander is not

kung same price lang sila, CRV pa din.

kasi ang iisipin ko naman, mas madami naka-CRV mas mura mabibigay ang pyesa in the long run.

wala eh, kahit san talaga tignan talo Mitsubishi sa ever popular CRV

pero kung mag-aala tucson siya baka puwede. the problem kasi with the Outlander, and this is true also the the previous model, mayabang kagad ang presyo.

yun X-trail ang pinakamura noon year 2003-2004 na CUV. kita mo ngaun, one of the guys sya, ka-level ang Rav4, CRV.

Regardless of the old one (w/c I don't like it either), Well, nuff said peeps, again, it's CBU from Japan (+ higher tax dictated, of course!): (sa uulitin po!)

    Aside from a powerful engine...
    -equipt w/ paddle-shifters,
    -Rockford sound system & subwoofer,
    -4wd w/ traction control
    -6 airbags
    -18" mags
    -HID's

whew, anu pa?!? dame! Do I (or we) need to say it again and again and again about the specs?!?

So what's arrogant w/ the price?!?

What you pay, is what you get from this ride period.

ay ang ganda pala ng add-on specs ng outlander that justifies the add-on 200k-300k difference in pricing

but regarding the CBU stuff and the high import tax etc. etc. siguro naman transparent na ito sa mga buyers. CBU or locally-assembled, pag sinabak mo sa Philippine roads, sigurado pareho lang aabutin nyan hahaha

now if the great Japanese car engineers burn-in tested their prototype cars here in the Phils. before they manufactured it commercially ... baka maniwala pa ako sa CBU CBU na yan hehehe

in the 21st century Phils., a car is only durable if the company that produced it has good after sales here.

    OT
Consumer Reports is far from being a automobile website, they test anything from toasters to vehicles. If you want a good review read Autoweek, all publications such as Car and Driver, Motor Trend, etc. have their own bias towards particular manufacturers but Autoweek seems to show it less than the others.

    BTT
If it was a choice between the two then I would pick the Outlander. I've had my Lancer for almost 10 years now with close to 160,000Km without any problems(knock on wood) so the brand is highly regarded as far as I am concerned.

sometimes kasi people are being blinded by the "H" badge... kaya dami parin nag ccrv kahit dami na papangitan dito... as for me... parang ayaw ko madaming kaparehas... im still in my early 20's the rockford audio would save me a lot of buying after i get the car, 18 inches rims are also nice for my age... tapos madami pa ndi nakakatry ng MIVEC technology nila.... hmmmm

    crv = old people
    outlander = yuppies

    hehe just my 2 cents

*jazon, kumuha ka na ba ng Outlander.? Based on this forum, Outlander has the edge, better than CRV. CRV target on sales, while Outlander target on some like a collector item. Its up to you, on what will you get, what your heart feels, what your mind thinks. Go for it.

The only advantage the CR-V has is price (HCPI escapes paying added duties sa customs for this model).

IF both cars though are on the same price level, then why the hell would people buy an SUV with a bucktoothed front that looks like crapshit.

Not to mention the lack of tiptronic on this model.........yet a Fit/Jazz, City and Civic 2.0 have this as standard

HIHIHIHIHi. But for their FIrst choice CRV ang love nila..
