September 17th, 2007 01:26 PM #1Based on my research, there is at least a $7000 difference between the two. both are brand new.
i want to get my wife a brand new mercedes sedan in a month or two. I am thinking the 2007 na lang kasi the dealers are trying to dispose of the old models.
what do you guys think?

Get the new one. Mercedes Benz has a promising future with regards to reliability. They are taking a 180 degree turn. Hope its true.
Plus, the new C-Class has more features than the old one. Its better looking too!iam3739.com

September 17th, 2007 02:04 PM #3yup, maganda talaga ang 2008. but i am estimating a difference of about $200 a month in payments if I go from the 2007 to the 2008.
is it worth the additional cost?

I am not too familiar with the Mercedes Benz. Most of the tsikoteers here own an Old Benz not the new ones mainly because of the reliability they have in the past. The great reliability have fallen in the 94's. Some say 97's.
So if I am able to pay the additional $200, I would definitely go for it. I am more assured of the New Mercedes Benz with their big change in the JD Powers Survey. According to the survey, the quality has gone up. If you take the 2007, you will have a greater chance of getting a bad Mercedes and the car might live most of its time in the garage.
I think its worth getting a little more expensive car and a promise from Mercedes to build cars at par with the old ones.
On paper, the 2008 has more features. So I guess the additional cost of features and the quality is good enough. If you can't still live up to it, you might want to think about Lexus.
But on my mind, nothing beats what Mercedes name could bring you.
Lets wait for other feedbacks.
All are based on my opinion. Please don't hurt me. Refute me nalang.Last edited by drey; September 17th, 2007 at 02:38 PM.

September 18th, 2007 07:41 AM #6i had a W203 C240 before, i suggest you go with the 2008 W204 C300! the W203 was a nice fun (heavy) car to drive (when it did not have problems), but for sure, the new C300 is way better than the W203 in many ways. My current W164 ML is way way way better than my W203 from the electronics to the engine! The design of the W203 though a classic is obviously "old" compared to new MB models.

September 23rd, 2007 02:33 PM #8additional problem. i just checked the website of centurywestbmw and they are having a promo for the 328i. below $400 and lease and less than $2000 ang drive off. very tempting.
2007 c230 vs 2007 328i ???????
what do you guys think?
my target is $400 a month lease lang and below $3500 drive off kasi.

luv the new 08 c-class. i am seriously considering it for my next car (silipin muna natin ang specs/itsura ng E92 M3 at bagong C-class AMG, hehe). but $200 per month difference? if you can bear the additional expense comfortably, then i would definitely go for it. at least on paper, the new C-class is far and away better than the C230 sport.
my cousin has the C230 sport and it looks ***y, and the interior is typical Mercedes, but it is so underpowered it's not even funny...
btw, oks na oks jan sa Century West/New Century BMW. cliente ko sila dati - they are good people and they treat their customers right

September 23rd, 2007 02:49 PM #10century west nga seems to have great bargains.
what do you guys think about the 328i?
the 4 year/50,000 mile free maintennance has really got me thinking. palitan ko lang mags ng 328i, and mukhang okay naman
ang rusnak mercedes, nagbigay ng calling card sa St. Johns Hospital sa Sta Monica, fleet discount daw for employees of St Johns
magkano kaya lease ng C300?
so far, these are my choices: 2007 c230, 2008 c300 (might be out of my budget) and 2007 328i
