Mas malaki ang Crown sa Corona. Crown is a full size sedan while Corona is just slightly bigger than a Corolla with a 2.0L engine.

June 30th, 2009 05:27 PM #13Thanks for the replies. Actually am thinking about these two models specifically because they are both rear wheel drive and i plan to do an engine swap.
The newer cefiro is nice. I am looking at the elite or brougham as well pero mukhang malabo kasi mag engine swap dun sa a32 but that was really my first choice and still is. This a31 and crown will be a second car if i get an a32 or I may just retain my 4x4 plus an a31 or crown. What do you think?
Yung accord and galant shark malabo din engine swap kasi front wheel drive and parang common na look ng mga ito - i had a galant shark a/t by the way - lakas sa gas grabe. Between accord, galant and a32, i prefer the a32 brougham or elite.
I need it to service clients so i need to swap a thriftier engine na pang harabas - literally pang haharabas ko lang - mga 1,500 - 2,000 km / month. I found engines that could fit them both with no problem. Bawi ko swapping cost in 6-8 months. Sobra ako lugi kung stock engines parang P12K - P16k/ month sa gas pa lang para ako bumili ng condo. I used to have a benz before P15k-P18k naman fuel nun per month grabe talaga yun lugi ka talaga at parati kang kinakabahan sa over heat pag traffic.
Sa parts alin ba mas madami? Yung crown ba may rear aircon and drink chiller na din?

June 30th, 2009 09:07 PM #15I test drove a manual crown today. Lambot ng ride parang barko. Yung mga upuan parang sofa. May rear A/C and drink cooler. Di masyado sariwa yung interior na nakita ko at namamatay matay yung makina. Mukha din old style yung interior. Test drove an a32 brougham as well today - lupet ng ride - parang benz - ibang klase din interior. Test drive ako a31 this week para ma compare ko.

madaming cheap cefiros floating around sa buy and sell yards... yung mga 96-97 models a32(?) are going for as low as 180 pa nga eh. i would get this over the older a31 cefiro. medyo malaking gastos bago maging reliable ulit yung mga a31 ngayon... and i'm sure ayaw mo matirikan ng makina habang sakay mga cliente mo.
the crown is nice, but the maintenance costs will kill you. that said, the cefiros will also dent your wallet, but you got better chances of finding brand new spare parts. plus, they got EFi and more modern engines.
sarap ng problema mo dude. if i had the spare cash lying around i would get a cefiro and use it as a comfy long dist cruiser. khit malakas ng konti sa gs, hindi pa rin mabibili ng pera yung comfort at smile sa mukha mo pag sumibak ka ng mga civic sa NLEX (for the v6 cefiros ha... sa 2.0 4 inline models medyo mahirapan ka, but anything's possible...)

If its for ferrying people i'd get the Crown over the A31 but if you throw in the A32, then i'll definitely get that. Engine swap? Just look for a VQ25 engine in the surplus shops.
