Get the newest (1997 and up) & best conditioned Sentra/323/Lancer that you can find for your money.

The Sentra is a good car... don't listen to fanboi rants that it's hard to maintain, parts are difficult to source, only the aircon is good, yada-yada. Just inspect any car that you're buying carefully since the condition of a car even of the same model varies wildly given the maintaince done to it.

Getting an older Corolla (95 under) or high-priced Civic (200K+) isn't really cost effective given that the resale value of both vehicles are unnaturally high.

Hi we have the same dilemma...im also looking for a car na range nun budget ko is 100-150k..Tapos all my superiors/officemates discourage me to buy a sentra...About the sentra na-kwento ko lng kc sa friend ng mom k na balak ko bumili ng 2nd hand car tapos inoffer nya yun 95sentra nya...To my surprise low mileage lng sya at wafu pa...Story kc dun sa car nun bago sya ng-abroad lng yun may-ari tapos natambak lng sa garahe...tapos nun 2005 binuhay lng sya...inoffer nya sa akin ng 80k (2gives pa)...
Test drive ni bro last Saturday (A1 condition) sa Baguio....
    Nun nakausap ko officemate ko sabi nila 80k sentra + 20k stresstabs + 50k biogesic = 150k

I would opt for the sentra pare. Okay bang for buck performance, and interms of parts marami naman, as compared to what they are saying na kesyo daw mahirap maghanap at mahal ang pyesas. Corolla and civic dami na sa kalye.

I have owned an summit eagle lancer (88-92 model glx)- mataas ang maintenance ko sa front wheel suspension(makalampag; which i believe is similar on the next model -hanggang sa pizza..dunno the new ones). 10km/l

    hope this helps.

Thanks guys... I know i would be getting great answers in here...

people have been enticing me kasi to get a civic or corolla kasi dami nga parts kung gusto mo i-set-up bu the thing here is, wheels at audio nga lang ang i-uupgrade ko.

Meron pa po bang ibang may feedback about the fuel consumption of the car? (as well as the mazdas or mitsus na nabanggit ninyo) kasi isa talaga sya sa considerations ko... anyways, got links in here ng mga sentras na nakita ko dito din sa tsikot... can you guys check 'em out and give me feedbacks too?

Sorry po ah? if ever kasi, first time car owner as i only own a motorcycle... I would be planning to buy a unit next month or pinaka late, march. here are the links of the sentras i have seen as well as some corollas na pumasa sa akin... need more of your help guys! thanks a lot!!!

Guys, alin ba mas OK gamitin as service? na gagamitin sometimes for long stints to the province?

    Dapat... ...
    1. Matipid sa gasolina
    2. Cheaper to maintain (from engine to any type of maintenance procedures)
    3. Mas kampanteng gamitin
    4. A/c dapat malamig

Choices are: 96 Sentra EX Saloon, 96 Lancer GLI or 95 Civic ESi?
