The Achilles heel of the RS is the highway. 11 is the best I've gotten because fifth gear is very very short.

I'm hoping they get the driving feel back with the next Civic, though, as it's coming out in time for me to seriously consider purchasing it over a City.
Honestly, I've had some regrets after purchasing the 2.0 Civic. The 1.5 City is more fun to drive than its big brother yet consumes a lot less fuel. The thing is, the 1.5 looks more like a toy than a car. But after a year, I always find myself making the city my everyday car, with an impressive 15-17 kms/l city traffic consumption.

The 2.0 is really a guzzler. It has much more comgortable ride as compared to a city, being a civic, but the costs to drive is a hefty price to pay.

My wife's Altis is a nice mariage of fuel economy (9-10 kms/l city driving) and comfort.

Either civic or altis will be a nice choice when choosing a compact car.
