Hello Good morning everyone I currently own a 10-year old Honda City (120k kms+) and thinking of purchasing a new one to help out in de-stressing our daily workhorse (though with limited budget

What would be your choice in terms of:

    1) Long term reliability
    2) Space
    3) Maintenance Costs and Interval
    4) Safety
    5) Vs other similarly-priced crossovers

    Thanks!

Go for the MG RX5 instead, it's better overall vs the ZS.

Just stretch your budget a bit, but as a reward you will have no regrets.

Or if you can wait, the Kia Seltos is very promising.

Why a small crossover? If you want something reliable, a compact like the Civic or Altis are better options for 1.1M.

    To add:

When the time comes, resale value of the civic and altis might be still higher than the choices mentioned by TS.

A Jimny has smaller interior space than their current City.

If ts is single and ready to mingle, the jimny makes sense.

The worst car at 1.1m functionality wise.
But one of the best car at 1.1m that will bring a smile on his/hers face when owning/driving one.

I do agree. Kona after discount.
However, my gut feel is that this model will be axed by HARI.

Why? Its selling pretty well. I’ve been seeing quite a number of Konas lately. My brother is actually planning on buying one.

You see it now, but once HARI starts jacking up the price and removing features, sales will dip. And when it does, it will be on the chopping board.
    i10, grand i10, i20.

Again. This is gut feel so i may be wrong/right.

Thank you for the replies...We are just 3 in the family - wife, son and myself - no yaya We were hoping for a crossover because we live in the Eastern part of Metro Manila where flooding is pretty common...but I think I need to push the budget some more to have a quality crossover with a decent ground clearance and possibly some water wading capabilities

    Thank you again!

The Jimny looks perfect. Tall, seats 4, reliable, easy to maintain, a real ladder framed RWD-based 4x4, holds value & FUN!

Hahaha. Never been 1 to worry about what's thought of my thoughts. I've reasons for being all for this, OB sir. Rigid axle, ladder frame, RWD based real 4x4, easy to use, abuse & maintain. The bonus? It'll hold value...something I don't really give a hoot about. Need I say more?[emoji4]

How about a pickup? It will meet your needs for ground clearance and water wading capabilities. Most of the small crossovers in the market are similar or just a tad higher compared to compact cars in ground clearance.
