Nah, not really... the GT-A fits that bill.
But as a weekend car, the Subaru 2.0R is better. The steering on either of these two isn't quite as incisive as the Focus, but the handling is good, and the Subaru 2.0R offers the possibility of four-wheel drifts in gravel parking lots...
The new City is smaller than the Lancer... but close in size to other compacts, despite being a subcompact. The new seats are supposedly higher, though, so there might be less of a feeling of spaciousness compared to the old City. We'll know when we get a tester.
