Here's the thing...it's not for me but for my brother. He is buying a car (would be driven as a second car). He is looking on a brand new 2006 Honda Accord LX Special Edition V6 cost is a little over $23,000 . His other choice is a 2002 Mercedes Benz C240 price is $17,000. w/ 40,000 miles (Here in the US this is actually low to average mileage for a 4 year old car). The Mercedes is actually my other brother's. Instead of trading it in for another car he offered the car to my other brother. The Mercedes is in very good shape, engine and transmission wise, minor damage sa exterior ($200-$300 to get it fixed) with sunroof and leather, it is really nice car, I have driven it a couple of times. My brother (seller) may even sell the car for $16K or even $15k to my other brother (It's a brother thing hehehe) but let's assume the cost is $17,000. The Accord is not a bad deal either it has a $3,000 rebate, original price was $26k+ no sunroof and no leather. Honda lowered the price because the 07 models are coming and the 07 Camry V6 can be had for $22k+ and to make it more competitive. So last night I was thinking...if I was on my brother's shoes, which one would I get? So mga peeps I need your expert opinion on this, at siyempre ipapakita ko ang mga sagot niyo sa utol ko. USDM at PDM Tsikoteers are very welcome to reply on this thread.

I would get the MB and take the left over money to dress it up a bit and maybe even tune it also or just stick it in a CD account. Since you know the owner and their habits regarding cars wear and tear shouldn't be an issue. Besides the MB has already done most of it's depreciation and after one or two years the Honda will cost the same as the MB anyways. Take the MB better choice, believe me coming from a BMW fan that's not easy to say.

I had to look up how the C240 looks like.
I'd go for the brother's low mileage car, whose history you know well.

if your brother can deal with the maintenance costs on a used benz vs. a brand new honda with warranty, then i would go for it. but if he's not prepared for the cost of ownership then he'll
but you're in socal, daming pinoy euro specialist mechanics dyan that might hook you up and save you some money.

He's also leaning towards the benz at ganoon nga ang naiisip niya lalagyan niya ng 18" or 19" rims. * yung AMG body kit sounds nice, actually ang damage (tinamaan ng wooden object sa freeway) ay sa right side below the door kung saan pwedeng lagyan ng side skirt . I'll PM you if he decided to take this route, many thanks.
