Check niyo din po Carmudi . Mukang okay since yung ibang listings is mechanic inspected na and pwede na idownload yung full report ng inspection.

Hello, everyone. First time poster here.

Any experience with Ugarte Cars? It looks like they're one of the bigger, "legit" 2nd hand car dealers on the market.

I'm targeting sana a 2nd hand MPV (Avanza or maybe an old Innova) for 500k below with financing option.

Also, for the private sellers, may pumapayag ba ng bank financing agreement? Sa BD

    issue solved

Observation ko din yung super low mileage units.

12 year old car with 52K kms lang? And then yung seats and plastic interior pieces giba-giba na. Seems impossible.

Few things I learned along the way:

    1. Wasak na leather on the seats = constantly driven no matter what the odometer says. Sometimes its because wala syang quality tint, but then it shoes na lagi sa open parking sya.
    2. Meticulously maintained? Tignan mo brand ng tires nya. Pag super cheap taxicab brands hindi yun meticulously maintained.
    3. Private car not GRAB - check the a/c vents and dashboard. Pag puro gasgas pinang-grab yan kasi jan nila mount yung mobile device ng drivers
    4. Casa maintained? - check the coolant color, oil filter (dapat branded ng casa) and drive belts (dapat fairly new).

Agree on all. Mine is low mileage (2010 48k) pero yung steering wheel natuklap na. Covered garage naman at home and work. It pisses me off Pero when I bought seat cover for it, the installation guys said sariwa pa daw upuan. Rare for me to have passengers kasi.

Normal yung bakbak na leather steering wheel even if well-maintained. My 2009 Altis before ganyan din. Yun lang naman yung nagbakbak, the rest pristine pa.

Pagawa mo nalang sa Seatmate, 1.9k lang:

My 12 year old car, walang bubong paradahan, sa paint sya nag manifest pero everything inside, maayos. I think, pag bugbog ang loob, it's because the car is being driven without ac and ung dumi ang kumakain sa upholstery and seats

Depende din sa relative, i sold my Innova after 2 yrs of using it back in 2008 and they are happy with it naman. Wala naman ako narinig na complaint.

But it is indeed a wiser decision to sell a car sa hindi mo relative.

knowing how good a condition my used car is in, i would prefer a relative buy it and enjoy it, even at discounted price.
babaratin lang kasi nang ibang buyer.

Oldest car I sold was 11 years old, well maintained, but since it's that old, we never know what part's gonna give anytime. 5 years old and below cars rarely have problems unless it's a lemon you wanted to get rid of.

this is something some folks might not understand.
they might think that car parts have a sort of lifetime graph that slowly but predictably glides down to "zero".
so when their newly-acquired used car suddenly malfunctions, they think they were "had" by the seller, who they believe, knew exactly when a crucial part was going to brake down but did not inform the buyer about it.

the basic truth is, "no one knows for sure, when a particular part will malfunction."

    unless!
na-sira na dati, at hindi pina-gawa nang tama, nguni at ginawan lang ng paraan, para umandar at ma-bili.

Nabuhay ata tong thread na to ha.
Looking at the FB marketplace in my area, parang nag subside yung mga magagandang units.
Dami talagang good deal nung pandemic pa.
Hopefully dadami na naman mid year.

if the proposed coding scheme pushes thru,
i am confident the used car market will, at least for a while, re-flourish.

Second hand prices were quite low at the beginning of the pandemic but actually surged later on. A lot of people had been able to save up by staying home (interest rates were a lot lower too) and mass transportation was still considered a health risk.
