The Vios being a Toyota, maraming murang parts, albeit mostly mga replacement na yun. My ride is a 2003 model, but had just traveled 80,000kms, so ang layo talaga nung 180,000 for a 2006 model. Siguro tanong na lang namin is how much are you willing to spend ba? Since you took the time to check it out at the 230k price, we're thinking it is your base price and not 180k?

Hell, I'd even consider an 1989 Toyota Corolla that's in pristine condition over this beaten up 06 Vios!

Among your choices, I'd pick the Honda City Type Z (2002)

It's a no-frills car. Sobrang simple niya, and fuel efficient too.

nanlaki mata ko dun sa milage ng vios sir,
walk away nalang talaga sa unit na yan,

i have a 95 rolla which already clocked in 131k milage,
for a 17yrs old car, bata pa sya.
mas lalong bata yung kay sir renzo,

    btt.

kuha ka nalang sir ng "batang" unit,
diba typically 10k kms/year naman ang average,

siguro pag gusto na nila ibenta, isasaksak nalang ulit, padetail nalang loob and labas and presto! sariwang unit. sorry ot. >_<

i think maam yata yung TS. if she checks out car finder, sulit, etc. dami doon. i think sa P230k you can still get an '02-'06 models if newer is what you want. at least me pics na rin kaagad so you can have initial impressions. of course, buyer beware sa mga sites na ito, pero just do due diligence and you may end up with a gem.

yikes! i'd stay away from that car. the only reason i'd buy it, is if it were given to me for free. then, i'd sell it off as parts..take it from someone who once bought an ex-taxi..
i recommend a low-mileage-, even if much older, car. marami naman diyan.. sentra type 3 or 4, city, civic, corolla gli...i believe that, if you keep your eyes open, it's not very easy to get a worse buy than that vios..
btw, what's the worst buy? a stolen car..

Consider mo naman yung panlaspag na 2001 Revo namin which has been to Aparri for four times and several other out of town trips has only reached the 89000kms mark a few days ago. The car in our garage nearest to that Vios in terms of age is the 2005 Accord 2.4. Daily driver yan which runs from Timog Ave QC to Ugong, Valenzuela Monday to Saturday except for coding day and had just recently breached 70000kms. I'd suggest you get a City Type-Z VTi. 115hp 1.5VTEC engine tapus pasok pa sa budget mo of 200+k (magkano ba max?). Very economical, adequately spacious, very fast , and looks timeless.

thanks thanks talaga nabuksan ung sarado kong isip to get that vios na, i was thinking kc nagbayad na ko sa mechanic and stuff.. nevertheless, all worth it naman kung sira nga and laspag makuha ko. correct me if im wrong, so standard is 10kms/year, how bout the case of 120k mileage for 2004 sentra, acceptable ba un, muka naman mas ok cos privately owned. we'll have it checked this weekend pa, then ill let you all know.

budget is 200k, sinama ko lang sa options ung within 230k, thinking na ma negotiate ko to lower down the price. btw, ano ba ung medyo realistic haggle, less 30k ok na ba un kung wala naman makita defects?

Stay away from that 180,000 Kms vios. Sobrang layo na ang tinakbo, dagdag mo pa ang andar ng makina sa traffic stop light eh ma imagine mo kung gaano kalaki ang running hours ng makina. My 2000 model Highlander just break the 90K Kms odo reading
