hindi ako anak ng mga bilyunaryong tao at hindi rin rich, lucky lang siguro kasi single pa and sarili lang ang sinusustento. iniisip ko rin siguro kung wala na ako maihulog sa Pick-up ko saka ko na lang ibenta, hehe. Last year ang value pa ng Sedan based sa insurance eh 650K.

yeah, kaya napa-isip din ako nun nabasa ko topic, kasi parang kung 2nd car mo na mas practical ata ang 2nd hand car kasi back up lang, pero in my case pareho syang brand new.

nakaranas din ako ng 2nd hand car, yun bigay ng father ko, and trauma ako, bad experience dami. ang hindi ko malilimutan eh nagpasama si GF bumili ng personal pc sa Manila, then on our way home sa SLEX naputukan ako ng hose ng radiator eh medyo pagabi na, damn! tawag ng back-up, then pinauwi si GF na byahe, tapos pilit pang hinila ng police patrol at sa office nila nagchange ng hose, ang laki ng bayad sa paghila, grabe. tapos ayun ang dami dami pa naging problema ng 2nd hand car.

Hirap lang pakawalan talaga yung oto. Kahit logically tama na benta, parang pigil ako.

kaya ka nga bibili, kaya ibili mo na si kumander.
pati dapat AT kasi girl sya :D at dapat malaki kaha
mala SUV or kahit sedan na matibay tibay.
wag mo ibibili ng alto or parang mushroom na kotse
dahil napakadelikado nun, pano nalang kung mapitpit ng bus
kung may budget ka kahit SUV na din. para safe na safe si misis mo

kung wala ka pang maintenance wag nalang bumili diba?

Had a Kia Pride, sold it, kasi feeling ko, madami ng magsusulputang papalitan, Thinking now that I should have just kept it. But oh well.

Do you think an Alto/Eon type of a car would be a good second car, as in everything is compromised, or kuha parin ng mas useful?

A Vios/City/Jazz/Yaris is a good second car; if you find a nice pick-up/Jimny, ganda din (pwede pa sa baha). Kung brand new, Mirage/Picanto/Eon is fine too. Tipid pa; just double check the crash ratings.

Sa case ko GS gamit ni wifey, sedan na manual sakin, minsan talaga nangyayari na need magkanya kanyang byahe so the reason to get one.

The car will be used only occasionally or a few days in a week at most (example: coding car).

Buying 2nd hand (around 2 years old) will save you the cost of initial depreciation of the car (usually around 20% of SRP).

Kung second car lang, okay na ba ang Alto 800/Hyundai Eon? Ako naman gagamit, hindi si misis. Or should I get the Vios/Fiesta/City/Accent?

Kasi, kung second car lang, diba parang Point A to Point B lang talaga ang use nun? Kasi we already have the Haima7, which is spacious naman na. Mas practical ba ang Alto/Eon or nagsasayang lang din ako ng pera kung ganun ang bibilhin ko?

You have the answer. If the benefit outweighs the cost.

The benefits can categorized into two, the explicit - these are the numbers that go into your cost benefit analysis, these are benefits that can be expressed in monetary value like gas price vs cab fare or the cost of renting vehicles vs owning a vehicle. Then there's the implicit, those that you cannot put a price on namely, safety, comfort and convenience.

Now, it's all up to you on how you assign values to these different points. That's when you make your decision

Ang traffic dito parang half na ng sa Manila.

Kaso hindi pa viable option ang second car for now.

What about the certified pre-owned units ng Toyota? Guaranteed not flooded daw. Should I take their word for it, since its "203-point" inspected daw.
