Pag nasira ang AT, mahal ang gastos at parati na yan sirain kahit ganoong daming gastos o galing ng pagawaan. Yun lang, I dont know how to detect a "damaged" AT since the AT I drove worked perfectly from the time I bought it second hand until I sold it recently.
It would be helpful if you could specify what make, model, engine displacement, of the cars you are looking or considering.
Im considering Honda civic/accord or Toyota Camry or Corolla... sa nissan naman Maxima or Sunny...sa ford may nag offer ng Mustang... problem is V8 engine... hayyy hirap ako mag decide since daily ka for city driving.. about 80km daily from work to house..
It seems that you are not locally based in the P.I. You cant go wrong with the Japanese brands. Mostly reliable and an abundance of parts will minimize any repair costs and headaches. Ideally target low mileage examples since you cover lots of mileage. If you're in North America, try getting one from a manufacturer's pre-owned units, usually ones that just came out of a lease agreement and but will still be backed up by warranty.
Yes Sir not locally based..gusto ko lang yung basic check list para sa A/T car para madali malaman kung ok pa engine..
Check the transmission fluid if its red then the fluid is being maintained properly but if its black then the owner doesn't maintain the transmission. Next try driving it by shifting to D then back to P then try it with the other gears 3,2,1. and last the R. In this procedure you are testing if the transmission still shifts properly on this gear while stationary. Then try driving it and feel if there are any shift shock where in you can feel the transmission shifting if it does shutter or shake forget the unit go look for another one. But if you come across an unit with smooth shifting from 0 kph to 100 kph that the best one. BTW dont make a mistake with normal shaking vs abnormal. For some brands Honda and toyota they have a bit of shift shock while nissan and mitsubishi tend not to have these, unless they are worn out. Good luck and happy hunting. Since your just starting try test driving 4 different automatic transmission cars. 1 brand new well car dealers are giving free test drives. then compare it with the 3 used cars so you can tell if its normal or worn out![]()
thanks for that's really great help.. talagang hindi ko alam pano mag check pag AT cars kung manual ok lang.. Im running out of time with in this week I need to buy a car..Originally Posted by johnart

sundin mo sinabi nila and wag pa dalos2x.. pra wlang worries pag nabili na...
none actually, as long as you have the money...
if you're financing, I guess your bank records will be key, but other than that, there shouldn't be any issues... I think land purchase is another issue.
