June 29th, 2014 03:10 PM #17For that budget you either sacrifice space or off-roading ability. If you sacrifice space nandiyan Jimny. If you're willing to sacrifice off-roading capability there's the 7 seater Chevrolet Spin diesel.

The EcoSport is a B-segment crossover SUV, its basically a junior-sized version of the C-segment crossover SUVs like the Escape, CR-V, Sportage, Tucson etc.
The EcoSport has a 4WD model in Brazil, they just don't manufacture it in Asia due to the much lower demand of the 4WD option in the smaller segments (it can easily drive the prices up).
The EcoSport's water wading capability of 550mm is actualy higher than some other larger crossover SUVs which are usually 500mm or less.
The Soul lacks both the ground clearance and water wading capability of the EcoSport.Last edited by AG4; June 29th, 2014 at 07:33 PM.

I would like to put a distinction with SUVs and CUVs. The Ecosport is a CUV or a vehicle that is based on a car platform that is raised. SUVs are typically a ladder frame in construction and are typically truck based. Oh yeah I forgot the Jimny. Now thats a real SUV within the budget
